Great One!
A great way to start out a diet. Love this book, simple and very informative. Hope it will help to change my eating behavior. Especially good for someone ( like me) not able to make big changes but willing to move into a healthier direction. The weekly shopping lists are put together well and got me started out on the right path. The author did an excellent job of writing. Thanks to author.

Random recipes that don't match the 3 week plan, contradictory, errors
Odd book. It reads like a lot of blog posts that don't really ever get into exactly what someone wants from an anti-inflammatory diet. After reading it, I'm still not sure what anti-inflammatory plan the author is recommending. It seems to be a very loosely linked collection of thoughts on what might be anti-inflammatory. And it's contradictory. Sugar is listed in things to avoid and yet a few of the recipes at the end of the book contain a whole cup of sugar so surely that will create more inflammation? And oddly the meal plan has meals listed for breakfast, lunch and dinner but then the 84 'proven' recipes that come after have nothing to do with this menu plan. So there are no instructions to make any of the foods listed in the meal plan. Want to eat Oatmeal Peanut Butter and Chia Seeds Breakfast Cookies for Saturday breakfast on Week 3? No recipe. Curry Chicken? No recipe. Chickpea Vegetable Coconut Curry for Week 1 Wednesday lunch? No recipe. And without recipes then how can these be called anti-inflammatory? Ingredients are important and there are curries that are anti-inflammatory and curries that aren't so having recipes is pretty important if you want to cut down diet-induced inflammation. There are also some startling errors like 'White flour is found in white potatoes and rice', 'You can find Omega 3 and sausage like olive oil, walnuts, pumpkin seeds...', 'Pineapple is another grapefruit to have because of bromelain', 'Organs means that the plants were not exposed to radiation' and 'scrambled tofu (like turkey meat)' to mention a few. With the title focusing on the meal plan and recipes you think you are getting a good meal plan complete with instructions for an anti-inflammatory diet but this isn't the case. The first part of the book is a fairly random collection of things about inflammation - but if you are buying this book you are already trying to tackle this issue so why ramble on about it? Just tell me clearly about your anti-inflammatory plan, what evidence there is for it, and then consistently stick to it throughout the book and I will be happy.Unfortunately this book has no consistent plan that will help anyone who really wants to get stuck in and lower their body's inflammation and the recipes and meal plan are not helpful.
