No batteries required is a FLAT OUT LIE 😡
Let's start by saying, if they post their directions on here should have been my first clue as to what I'm getting. But I went ahead n tried because this stated I DIDN'T need batteries to operate. Needless to say. They lied.Now for how it works. First It's pretty confusing. Once u set the time n date it takes u to what should be 12-24 hour option. Mine is only a 20 hour n 99 minutes option. 😂 Then wen u go thru it, up or down, the 20 always stays the same but the minutes change with the days of the week. It's not military time nor is it what they describe here..There is no way to shut off the alarm for weekends. Unless u take out the batteries n then redo that whole headache of setting it up every week!!Next there is no way not to use the snooze button. Not everyone needs a snooze button. So if u don't need one u will have to carry the clock around with u to shut it off again unless u want to run back to ur room.I would say definitely too complicated for a child to figure out. N definitely not worth the headache for an adult.Sure it's light weight but that's all I can say good about it. It's not once u add BATTERIES (THE BATTEEIES IT CLAIMED I DIDNT NEED) !!! Not worth the headache to send it back. So I'm stuck with the over prices toy.

Not worth it.
Got these for my kids who are 7 and 9. The clocks were difficult to set. Not very user friendly. Seemed like the kids accidentally changed the time when trying to turn off the alarm. If you use it as a night light be prepared to change batteries frequently. We didn’t use these longer than a week before tossing them out.

We bought one and it worked great for the first few days then the screen stopped working it would light up but could not read anything on it

Very disappointed, could not even see the time.
The backlighting did not work at all on this. I was really frustrated I had to tilt the clock to even barely see the time.
