Excellent Product - Delivers Exactly What It Says!!
Plug and Play, use the existing coax cable, hook it up and....WHAM Cable TV and Wired Ethernet Instantly! It's exactly what the cable companies do to bring Ethernet and Cable TV signals into your home...only the HyperXtender works inside your home so you can get Ethernet to those places where you have coaxial cable but no Ethernet cabling. I tried using N+ routers and wireless to stream to my SmartTV but it really didn't work well at all. Kept losing signal, choppy stream..just unworkable. I saw this and jumped on it. Now I use my existing coax cable (already behind the walls) and the HyperXtender to deliver BOTH TV and Ethernet to my SmartTV and it works GREAT! I get crisp cable TV AND 100MB hard wired Ethernet for media streaming so I can play movies from my media server and from the Internet (Hulu, Netflix, etc.). The cost of the HyperXtender was LESS compared to the cost, time and effort of running an Ethernet cable through the walls!! I simply used the coax cable that was already there and I had instant Cable TV and wired Ethernet!!! Can't beat it....I Love it!!!!

Losing my patients with it
The device does work, when it works!! Today it says low line speed, which is a first for me. They are very very sensitive to electrical surges. Something else to be aware of is the fact that the TV port doesn't actually amplify anything, so if your cable run is longer than 100' then your really going to get signal degradation, especially since every is digital now. I'm a little annoyed at the fact that I've had both units fail right after the 1 year warranty. I did buy another set of them, because of the relatively good price, but I have a feeling I might be in the same boat again. I would look for a higher quality of device if you want something that will last.

Works like a champ!!!!
Before purchasing I contacted the company for additional information and recommendations. They were very responsive and more than willing to assist me anyway possible. I use on pre-wired RG59 thorough out my home. No problem to date. Measured signal at DSL input on my desktop and then in the bedroom, using my laptop, no signal loss detected. My problem is not the HyperXtender, my problem is the lousy ATT DSL! Will use this company again should my needs dictate...they are A-OK in my book!!!

Does exactly what it says!
I ordered this product because I was having trouble getting my wireless-N signal from the basement, where my cable modem lives, to the 2nd floor of my house. I tried a repeater on the 2nd floor, but it wasn't getting a very strong signeal to repeat, and certainly not enough to stream video from my media server without stuttering.I added one of these units by Cat-6 cable directly after my basement wireless router, and plugged it into a nearby coax wallplate. I put the other upstairs coming out of a nearby coax wallplate and into my network-ready TV by Cat-6 cable. Amazing! It streams video without issues, just like the TV was plugged in to the router in the basement. No hassles, no setup, totally transparent. Multi-megabyte throughput with no signal loss.I love it!
