// Updated review after a few weeksThis mat turned out to be quite firm and not that helpful when baby was learning to sit tipping over — it was too firm and it still hurt her a lot when she bonked her head on the mat from tipping over. Also, we live in a city apt and the animal cutouts made putting the mats away at night more difficult (they’d lean/partially pop out). Baby ended up not liking being put on these. We switched to the Baby Care Play Mat which provides much more cushioning and she loves!!// Review right after openingsSo far, so good. It's a nice thickness and the gray and white is nice, high contrast. Having the tiles is nice and configurable -- we actually put a few tiles in the living room and a few in the nursery so the baby has two places where she can practice tummy time.One complaint is the bag split open as soon as I tried to take it out the box. Since there are many pieces to this, it's nice to have a storage bag and having it split right out the bag made the product feel cheap. But, the actual foam pieces have been nice. Also having nice big cut outs somewhat reduces the issues of having too many crumbs stuck on the mat.

What I liked the most about the play mat is it is nice enough to go in my family room. The colors are very neutral. Exactly what I was looking for, something that would blend with my grey decor and not stand out. What I liked least or was disappointed about is the animals are “cut out”. You can take them out of the square tile. The problem with that is on the carpet it can become uneven so parts of the animals may stick up and can cause tripping or difficulty for little ones just learning to crawl and navigate. One of my tiles has a spot, that looks like a cigarette burn, that I’m disappointed in. I love the concept of the playmat it just has some imperfections in the tiles, and the animal cut outs.

I really love this play mat. We have had it for a few months now and it has been a life saver in our wood floors. It is super cute and modern looking, which I love. The reason I gave this a 4 stars insteD od 5 is for two reasons:1. The mat scratches really easily and it is very noticeable.2. The animals are cut outs and pop out of the squares, which makes it impossible to use this on carpet with ease. We avoid using it on carpet because it constantly is popping out when my son crawls on it, making the mat uneven.

Our whole house is basically tile (besides the bedrooms) and so we bought 2 of these for the living room/play area and it’s perfect! I’m so glad we decided to get the black/grey/white instead of the grey/white. I like to think it adds a little more “color” to our already grey tiled floors. Once our baby starts crawling we will definitely buy at least 3 more to have a larger area. I can’t say much about how sturdy the borders are since we just lay them flat, but they look nice. I love that you can mismatch the colors and shape the mat how you want. It’s not super thick, but thick enuff for baby. Definitely easy to clean. If I had to complain about something it would be that when adults walk on it sometimes the animal pieces lift up, but that doesn’t bother us too much. Still a great buy for the price!

I love these mats! They are very cute, colors and texture are nice (I have the smooth side facing upwards, rough side down on hardwood floors to prevent sliding). I was afraid of the white, as my nephews tend to drag dirt, etc. into the house, but these wipe off very easily with just baby wipes. I like the large size of the cut outs, I don't worry about my son choking on them, and everything interlocks well. I can't give any info about the fencing arrangement as I haven't tried it. My only complaint is that they had small pock marks in places brand new - it looks like bits of hot material melted the mats in places during manufacturing and it was not caught by quality control. Honestly though, it's really a minor thing and I am otherwise completely satisfied with the two sets I bought, so these still get 5 stars from me. :)

I did a lot of research on safe play mats and after weighing a lot of pros and cons I decided on this mat. One reason I liked it was it’s neu profile, but in reality it shows every speck of dust and dirt. I guess this helps me remember to wipe it down consistently, but the white areas on the mat always look gross. Pros: I think the mini barrier is nice, we have a large dog and even this small bloackade deters him from walking all over the mat. Also it’s a nice thickness and comfortable for adults as well.

The huge tiles are a major improvement over the small tiles used for other products (like the ABC/123 mats). They stay together and are fun to look at (and there are no small pieces to become choking hazards). Thickness is great. On this mat, our 10-month old falls over from a sitting position and shakes it off. No crying or complaining. Love the option to fold up the sides to contain the little one (he can break through but it provides extra time before he escapes). Highly recommend.

We had a similar one bought a few years ago and our little son used it extensively. We wanted something similar and bought this one after extensive searching online. We were pleasantly surprised that it came so quickly, even during the COVID times. It looks great, feels great to walk on for my son (and us) ; and also brightens up the house in a way! Great product, good service, highly recommend it.

This is an awesome mat! It feels very durable. It’s not flimsy at all yet soft enough for my baby when she falls. Love that it’s easy to clean - just wipe or use soap and water and it dries quickly. This is worth every penny. My baby girl will put this to good use for years! I know it will last long judging from the quality of the material. Highly recommend!

I love this play mat the quality is very good and great for kids to play on. I love the fact that you can take off the borders and create a fence like as well. I totally recommend this play mat, it’s worth the money!
