It is recommended to change out your toothbrush every 3 months. After normal wear and tear your bristles start to get worn out creating a less effective toothbrush. Clinical studies show that a worn out toothbrush removes less plaque than a new toothbrush. Your toothbrush builds up a large number of bacteria, so common sense practices also suggests to replace your toothbrush every 3 months. It is also a good idea to replace your toothbrush after getting over a illness.

Love the black bristles and the biodegradable quality
I loved the design and the fact that they are biodegradable. It took some getting used to. The feeling when brushing is a lot different than plastic. My family including kids have agreed we can make this small change though. I love the black bristles when using my charcoal toothpaste, it doesnt make my toothbrush look dirty!

Excellent
My daughter is a humanitarian and is always looking for alternative products that do not harm the environment. She is very happy with the quality of the product.

Makes my bathroom look snazzy
So far so good, and these look like they are super fancy cool-person toothbrushes. Love that I could compost the bamboo portion, but I'm sure I'll find another use for it (garden stake perhaps?) because the design is really neat!

Good tooth brush - swastika design questionable
Tooth brush feels soft (no splinters), bristles are medium (if you are into soft this may be too hard for you). Only negative remark is the choice of swastika for design on the brush.

Great toothbrush!
These are really nice toothbrushes! The bristles aren't too hard or soft, and are securely placed. The handle is sturdy. I like the carved patterns to be able to differentiate between users. I took off one star just because the pattern goes all the way up the back of the brush, and it irritated my lips a little while brushing.
