This seems like a good rescue/survival tool overall, with many handy features. The flashlight and flashing red light work well.The only part I don't like is that the escape hammer has to be released, by sliding a button that is hard to slide. The picture shows the escape hammer part already out, but it doesn't come that way. It took a while to figure out how to get it out, and it was hard to do even after I knew the method. To put it back, you have to keep the rather difficult button slid all the way back while you push the hammer head all the way down - release that button just a moment too soon, and you've got trouble. As my son was trying it out, the escape hammer portion got stuck half in/half out, and it took us a long time and some tools to finally unwedge it.The whole idea of the escape hammer is that it's there when, say, your car has fallen into a lake and you have only a short time to escape before you run out of oxygen. I find it troubling that something you'll have to use under extreme stress and deadly time pressure is designed to take time and be difficult, and sometimes to wedge so that you may never get it out at all.I'm going to keep this because I don't have time to return it, but I won't ever put the escape hammer part down again, and I hope that no one else in my family forgets and does so.

I bought this for my twenty year old stepson for Christmas. He loved it and it seems good quality and has some weight to it. We did have trouble with the glass hammer part, apparently the tip can be unscrewed (not sure why???). I didn't know this and wrote to the company because it would not come open and was sent instructions on how to fix it and what the problem was (very simple and easy fix!). Customer service was great, product is good too..

I bought this for my son. It unfortunately had some damage (I think the light didn't work, not sure because it was a gift). He let me know it was broken though and this wonderful seller sent him another one. That one was PERFECT and he loves it! Good purchase all around.

Pretty bad build quality, feels like a crappy plastic tool in the hand. I folded the glass hammer down and it immediately got stuck (took about 15 minutes to get it loose). All in all I probably would have been better off with a small multitool and a flashlight, but I did want the glass hammer just in case and I have heard that the auto breakers sometimes fail.

Higher quality than I expected. Well designed, too. I was also impressed with the follow-up support with helpful tips and even a video demonstration. To top it off, my husband really liked it! (Shopping for my husband is extremely difficult. Whew! A Father's Day success.)
