Very good reference book for a nursing student and those who are preparing for board exams to be a registered nurse. My youngest sister is nearly on her 3rd year level as a nursing student and this book will be a good practice book for her.The books information is very educational on its discussion, as it highlights the meaning of the prefixes of its medical terminologies, then to the practice q&a that might possibly comes up on the actual exam.A 4 star book.

Essential Terminology
As a consultant I have clients in multiple industries and some happen to be doctors. Having never been a doctor myself I find it hard going when it comes to writing reports for my superiors and clients because I have to spend hours finding the right words. This book is not just a dictionary of medical terminology, but it is a guide on what makes up medical terminology. It also has tests to really help you gauge how much you really understand. This book comes with many free bonuses from the author, so it is much more beneficial for nurses to have.

Useful for Demystifying Medical Terms
As a former Registered Nurse who hasn't practiced nursing for many years, this was a fun refresher for medical terminology. This book demystifies the sometimes confusing meaning and construction of such words. As a nurse in training, you'll find this useful, I'm sure!

Medical terminology is like a foreign language
This is an impressive book on medical terminology. Medical terminology is like a foreign language, this book is easy to understand and learn on your own. The book is like a master key to the language used in medicine and, once you've grasped the basics, everything becomes remarkably simple. The book provides a clear and lucid set of explanations that will reveal exactly what is meant by all those formerly obscure medical terms. Suddenly, everything makes sense and the book is beautifully written and constructed to make the process of comprehension so much easier. This is a Great book!

Eh
It's concise and explains ok but it's missing the mark since it doesn't actually give the meaning for components of the medical term. It's an ok introduction but this would work best for those who already master the basics of medicine and are proceeding into diseases.
