Dark chocolate and barbeque potato chips.

they read my mind but not my pocketbook
I was at my sister's house and she served some gooey dark chocolaty cake. I saw BBQ potato chips on top of the fridge and asked for some on a whim. I crumbled up a few and sprinkled on top of my piece of cake. It was perfect. A couple of months layer she and the bro in law saw this chocolate bar at a nearby grocery store. They could not believe it and bought me one. It was great... Tho not quite as good as the cake topped with chips...I checked amazon to see if they carried them. Yup and I'd buy them too if the price was right. For my money the dark chocolate salted caramels by Sanders, while still pricey is a far better buy for the sweet salty craving, plus you get the soft and crunchy.

I loved this one
The flavor isn't in your face, but a layer under the chocolate that shows up after the chocolate disappears and it tastes just like you ate a BBQ chip. This was delicious stuff. I don't usually eat more than a quarter ounce or so of chocolate at a time, if that. I always like just a taste. But I wanted to eat this whole bar down.

My wonderful wife gave me this chocolate for St Nick's night
My wonderful wife gave me this chocolate for St Nick's night. Unfortunately, just a few hours after enjoying a sampling of said chocolate, the most ungodly of bowel movements occurred. It was like Satan himself was trying to expel himself from my intestines. It was like pushing a watermelon through a keyhole. It was like giving birth to a 13lb baby with zero dilation. It was like a prostate exam by five doctors simultaneously. It was like the Hunger Games was being played out two inches shy of my anus. That being said...It tasted great! And for such taste, I would go through this pain again.

The guy behind the counter said it was his favorite chocolate so I figured
I bought this down south after originally making a face at it. The guy behind the counter said it was his favorite chocolate so I figured, "why not?" I forgot about it until last night and figured I might as well give it a try. It's AMAZING! Like another reviewer said, it's not too spicy but there is a hint of BBQ and you do have the crunch of the chip. If you let it melt in your mouth it's even better as oddly enough, the mix of the BBQ and the dark chocolate is an awesome combo.

Underwhelmed: no BBQ potato chip taste
I've always been impressed with Vosges chocolates and truffles and thus had high expectations for their sister brand, Wild Ophelia. However, after trying this bar and their Sweet Cherry Pecan version (milk chocolate), I can safely say I'm quite underwhelmed. The chocolate is quite good, as this BBQ Potato Chip using 70% Dark Chocolate is quality chocolate. However, the flavor profile of the BBQ Potato chips is non-existent. Yep, don't expect any fun flavors except for the dark chocolate. You will get the texture of potato chips, just not the BBQ taste. Therefore, for the price, I wouldn't buy it again.
