While planning another painting trip to Maine this summer, I finally found a tactical backpack that can hold all my gear. The plein-aire painter has to bring whatever you need with you. Time is of the essence when you are painting directly from nature because the light changes dramatically according to the time of day.For the past 30 years I have gone through several backpacks carrying my gear to painting sites. Straps have broken, bottoms have worn away, and important supplies just wouldn't fit. So they had to be carried, separately. The worse is to have to make repeated trips to bring the gear to the painting site.When I found the Sergeant Military Tactical backpack at a reasonable price for such a well-made product, I knew I had a product that would holdup to my painting abuse. I fit all my gear inside, with room for more in the smaller compartments. Once I packed it in the studio, I know I will have with me what I will need on site. At times I have to hike for a mile from the jeep to my painting locations. Being able to carry all my gear at once, gives me more painting time.Also artists have to get the best bang for their bucks, be efficient with their time and get organized. With Sergeant's backpack this is going to be a very good painting season!

I previously purchased a cheaper tactical backpack like the ones you see on Amazon, it was in the $40 range. On my send repelling trip, the handle and hanging straps failed. The stitching literally ripped out when I picked it up. I completely wasted my money. For my next pack I decided invest more and get the new Sergeant backpack. I am really glad I did. I smiled when I pulled it out of the box and felt how beefy it was. The quality of the materials is so much better than the last pack, I could not believe it. It’s built like a tank. I can load the bag up with all my repelling gear (the rope straps to the bottom) and comfortably hike into repelling areas with no fear of the bag failing on me. You can see from the pictures the quality of the stitching on the handle and it has the YKK zippers everyone says are the best. The pack exceeded my expectations and seems to be better than military-spec. After 3 trips this bag is still like new and shows no signs of leaving me high and dry. I recommend this product and will be buying another one as a gift for a friend’s birthday.

I have had the bag for over a year now. 1 year 3 months to be exact and I use it everyday to go to work or I bring it with me when I go camping as well. I am hard on everything I own so durability is something I always look for when purchasing anything. This bag has been through the ringer and has not shown any signs of wearing down. I would buy this again in a heartbeat if I had to.

Rugged as F !Tons of features, extra pockets, straps etc and large main compartment to store all my gear. Anytime I buy online, I’m a bit skeptical but they definitely met my high standards.Very very rugged material, double industrial strength stitching, and those good YK zippers that never catch or breakdown like you get on the cheaper bags...I hate thatI used it on a back country camping trip and got stuck in some heavy rain on my way to base camp, it held up like a champ and everything stayed dry.Very happy and I'll look for more gear from these guys...if there's any complaint, it's only that they don't have many products

This is a great backpack, really love the design and size of the backpack. Only disappointment is the laptop compartment stated it fit a 15 inch laptop and my 15 inch laptop barely fit in the backpack at all, definitely not in the laptop compartment. Haven't tested the waterproof aspect of the backpack but when I do I'll update

I do a lot of backcountry drone video work, and before this kit, I had a Condor backpack to hump my gear in. I could never fit everything in that pack, and my shoulders and back would kill on a long hike. I bought this, and all of my gear fits great, and my back never hurts. Plus I love the two water bottle holders, it's crazy how something so simple makes a big difference! Great product, worth the extra $, highly recommend it!!

This backpack is great. It is for my teenager. You can fit a lot in it and the material seems very durable.
