The coolest thing!
A core essential for apple eaters. The coolest thing and works like a charm. We have a smooth counter top so the suction is solid. The tool is constructed well and with close inspection I cannot foresee any issues. I would recommend that every home should have one. Fun to operate even for an older fella like me. It is easy to see how this Loopy Apple can prompt and inspire people to eat more apples, specially the young ones. Great price for what you get and the time it saves to boot. This is now on my Christmas gift giving list for sure.

I honestly make better ours with this because they are all cut so ...
If you bake Apple pies or anything you need peeled and sliced apples for I don't know how you can live without one of these! I remember my grandpa had the job of peeling and slicing the apples while my grandma worked on the crust. Well, that only works if you are baking while your hubby is home! I usually put together my crust and let it rest while I peel my apples. I honestly make better ours with this because they are all cut so uniformly they can really be stacked in the pie pan so nice and give a beautiful layered look when you cut into it that is perfection! Plus it's fun to use! My kids have me cut some apples sometimes just to eat.

Fun addition to my kitchen
I saw my first Apple Loopy when the flight attendant pulled it out of his bag to peel and slice an apple he "borrowed" from business class. (I happened to be in the galley.) It was so cool that I ordered one using the plane's WiFi. It was waiting for me when I got back home and I immediately went to use it. It worked well on an apple although I still need to practice peeling/slicing vs. slicing. The only issue is that I can't seem to attach the handle to the crank. I've tried every screwdriver I have but it will not attach. I'd love to know how to remedy this.

Bad Apple Peeler
The Loopy Apple Peeler Corer Slicer is a piece of Junk. Every Apple has to be set in place and the Peeling Arm and Blade have to be adjusted every time. After the Apple is peeled and sliced it has to be removed from the Prongs. Most of the time a knife has to remove the Apple peeling that the peeler missed. The spiral Apple cut that remains then has to be sliced in pieces for an Apple Pie. The Suction Clamp did not stay in place on my kitchen counter. EVERTIME I used this device, the suction clamp let loose half way through the peeling operation . I stopped using it and returned to using my "Victorinox Paring Knife" with a 3.5 inch blade. I peeled, quartered, cored and sliced 2 Apples in the time it took me to do 1 Apple with the Loopy Peeler. Another thing to consider is the Loopy Peeler has a very sharp peeling blade and corer slicer blade. These blades could cut somebody very easily. The picture on the box it came in shows two children using the Loopy Apple Peeler. I would NEVER let a child near this Apple Peeler. It is too easy for an adult, much less a child get cut badly with the Loopy Apple- Apple Peeler Corer Slicer.

It worked great and my wife really enjoyed it the two times ...
First review here. I bought this for my wife because she was going to be making several pies for the holidays for family. It worked great and my wife really enjoyed it the two times she was able to use but after following the directions and hand washing and hand drying it several areas on the device were beginning to rust already. Under the suction cup was exceptionally rusted which appeared to have been rusted before we received it by how bad it was but i can not confirm that as i didn't check under the suction until my wife pointed out the other spots. I didn't even notice the price difference too several different ones that were half the price because i just purchased the one my wife showed me with out doing more research. If it would have been priced the same as the others i might have just bought two used it for the holidays and wrote it off as a loss once they both rusted and moved on.

Essential tool for bakers and canners
This little gadget saves a TON of work. True, if apples are irregularly shaped, you have to do some manual touch up. Nonetheless, it is so little work compared to doing it all by hand it is not worth complaining about. It does take a little practice to get it right. The directions are clear but I had to go over them more than once to get it right. The only problem I have is with the wing nut used to align the corer/peeler. I have some weakness in my hands and am not able to tighten it enough without pliers. This might be a challenge for someone with arthritis or other type of hand impairment. Overall, Loving it!

Get The Job Done- in a fraction of the time!
I got this for my husband. After we took a cooking seminar where they instructor used one, he insisted he needed one of these. While I wasn't too happy about yet another THING to find a place for in the kitchen, he talked me into getting him one. When I saw this one in the lovely blue color, I decided this was the one to buy. The blue is just a little brighter than what I see on my monitor- more "cobalt" than "midnight" and this suits me just fine. To be sure, it makes peeling an apple a breeze. He has used it several times including for an apple/sauerkraut recipe where the apples kind of cooked to mush because they were sliced so thinly. If there is a way to change the thickness of the spiral slice, he hasn't managed to find it. That is the reason for the loss of one star. If someone can tell me how to adjust, I will gladly revise to 5 stars. The seller (Ibiza P/L) followed via email to be certain we were happy with the purchase, an unusual event indeed!

Great product and compact for easy storage
It's smaller than I thought it would be, which is great because it stores away easily. My 4 year old son likes turning the crank to make loopy apples. 5 stars.Update: one little issue since I wrote the above 6 months ago... I see that rust is appearing on some of the metal, especially the prongs that hold the apple core. I'm meticulous about washing off the machine after each use and I let it air dry on a dish rack. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
