For the first 35% of the book the author introduces the idea being kind and loving while engaging with the child and using English. This is shrouded in flowery language of be ‘happy, joyful and enthusiastic’.The next 65% of the books are semi-scripted introduction of each letter with an enthusiastic teacher and repeating of words that start with that letter.I feel there’s nothing really new presented in the book nor is it backed by science regarding the process of learning out to read. Much of it is backed by anecdotal stories.It’s a short book, that’s also short on substantive content.

Reading is *so* important so I bought this to help a friend's grandchild learn to enjoy reading. I love how easy it is to use - and fun! He now gets excited to read and it is fun for him. Thank you!!!
