They work!
The radiators reduced the temperature at the exit of the 6 inch flue pipe from ~275°F to ~200°F. I didn't have much space so there are 5 on the horizontal and 1 vertical. As per the manufacturers instruction, I masked and painted the radiators black. They ship unpainted aluminum. They are very easy to install, only took seconds.

You want them to work
Lots of heat goes up the pipe. The concept of these things is sound and you hope to get a huge payback. But they just don't extract as much heat as I'd hoped.They're easy enough to install and I'll probably leave them up. Just don't expect too much.

It works!
I would recommend wearing gloves during installation. A small fan would help with circulation.

they reclaim over 200F differential from in to out. that pays for them in short order.

Not noticed increase in heat
Should be working via convection, they get hot, but with no noticeable increase in room temperature.

Not sure I'll ever recoup the cost.
The idea is nice...but like the heat operated fans...pretty hard to tell any real difference. But as they are installed (very easy)...I'll keep them in place.
