We also used them with 3/4” and they looked ok **Q: is the crimping tool sold in this kit sufficient? or do i need the hydraulic one?** A: This decking kit without crimping tool, you need the hydraulic **Q: How are the wires best cut for sections?** A: I used the IWISS wire rope crimping tool for swaging copper and aluminum oval sleeves and stop sleeves loops from 1/16" to 1/8" with wire rope cutter bought here on Amazon to cut my sections. **Q: Will one length work for a railing that has curves or bends and is not a straight line?** A: I’m so sorry, but I don’t know.
