TRENDSPOT 5in Orchid Indoor Planter, 5 inch, Blue

I have waited several months to write this review, so I could get a first-hand idea of how my orchid likes its new pot! This is my first orchid, so I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep her healthy - much less alive.We got a store-bought phal from our real estate agent and I just couldn’t let it go into the trash can. As is usually the case, it was practically cemented in fake filler in a little plastic pot and was suffocating. After it finished blooming, I freed its roots from that horrid stuff (using clean, wooden chopsticks) and repotted it into this pot with new mix.It’s been happily growing for about 7 months. This little pot was the perfect size for my orchid and the holes seem to allow for the perfect amount of air and water flow. It’s put on 8 or 9 new leaves and now, FINALLY, a flower spike has emerged (pic attached to this review).If you’re looking for a way to save a gift orchid or just need to repot one you already own, I highly recommend this - it’s functional and attractive.Be sure to keep a saucer underneath to catch the water - this will also be a good way to maintain the needed humidity levels.UPDATE: Out of sheer pride, I have updated this review with a picture of my now-blooming orchid. More than a year after repotting, she continues to thrive and has an enormous number of buds yet to open.

Beautiful, sturdy orchid planter. I love the design! Allows for adequate drainage without marring wood furniture. I wish they made more of these in different color ways, and larger pots for more mature orchids. The options are so limited. Wonderful value for the money. This particular orchid came to live with us last year as an anniversary present. It rebloomed and has grown a new leaf and several air roots since being repotted, in spite of a very late repotting and significantly poor watering and care. I will be buying another for my newest orchid to repot as soon as it drops its flowers.

Looks and feels great so far! I was looking for an orchid pot this size that was affordable and beautiful. The quality is better than I imagined. It is very solid and sturdy, and the color is beautiful. I hope to be able to update this review with a phtoto of new orchid blooms soon, but I have to be patient for that.

I ordered blue and got a very green one, but the pot is nicely made and very attractive. (Dagnabbit, I really wanted the blue!) The glazing is especially lovely and the whole thing appears handmade and hand painted. Unlike the other reviews, mine didn't come with any hard-to-peel off stickers, and if it had, I'm not sure I'd subtract stars from it just because of that.

Color is very different from the product photos. It is a dark green pot and not a blue pot at all. Photos look like a blue/gray glaze and this is definitely not close to the real color. Was kind of disappointed because I was hunting for a blue pot. Otherwise it seems like a good pot (sturdy, level, no cracks, good vent and functional drainage and catchment) and my orchid seems pretty happy in it so far. I just wish the color was more accurate.

Well packaged, the color is very true to the photo. The material is thick and sturdy, nice finish. They seem larger than 5 inches and should be uses for many years, the bottom has nice no-skid adhesive rounds.

I bought this to put a small orchid into it, which it will work perfectly for. The pot is very well made, and nice in appearance, except for the stickers the maker decided to put all over it. There are two large ones inside the pot, while two more on the bottom of it. I'm not overly excited about leaving the stickers in either location, but taking them off is nearly impossible as they've put them on with glue that doesn't allow you to take it off very easily. Now I have to clean it with alcohol in order to get them off, which is something that could be avoided if they would simply put a sticker on the bottom of the thing. Again, nice pot, but next time I'll look elsewhere to avoid a long process of getting sticky stickers off the pot to make it usable.

Beautiful orchid pot. Came packaged very well. Just wish it didn't have all the stickers on it that I had to remove. Would definitely buy again. Much prettier, less expensive and better quality than the ones I saw at my high end nursery.
