Best pick, medium price for a lifetime of strumming
I play ukulele and started using my index finger, but my nails begin to crack as they grow out. I started looking for alternatives, plastic picks, felt picks, thumb picks, etc. Then I found Honu Picks. They come in a pack of 3 leather picks. I have been using one of them for a couple of months with no wear and tear. You have two ends you can pick, one tighter and the other a bit more open, and I have enjoyed getting different sounds as I switch. I think my first Honu Pick will last for the rest of my life, but if not I have two more to back it up. The price is about $18 plus shipping from Hawaii. I wish he could sell one at a time for $6, but I understand the seller's approach. Highly recommended.

HonuPicks in NC
The HonuPicks are absolutely FANTASTIC for my ukulele! After trying out about ten different brands/types, I thought that I had my favorites until HonuPicks came along WOW! Now they certainly don't look like your conventional picks, kind of strange looking actually, but the performance is surpassed by none. After watching a short online video on how to use them, the rest was up to me, to incorporate them into my own playing style. Now I love the mellow sound that my thumb produces on my uke, but its not practical to always use your thumb. Guess what? HonuPicks are the next closest thing. For me they are better. If you use picks or are thinking about using them, give HonuPicks a try; you'll be glad that you did.

Sounds great
I've only been playing uke for a few months so take this with a grain of salt. But, I have tried several different types of picks (plastic, triangle-shaped leather, felt) and these sound the best by far. They're a little odd to hold at first but I got accustomed with practice. One thing I haven't seen other reviews mention is you can get a bit of a different sound depending on which side you use. I don't know if it's intentional but all three of mine have a "loose" and "tight" side -- referring to the opening where the leather is folded over. Pick with the looser side for a warmer more muted sound, pick with the tighter side to brighten and louden it up a bit, or flip it over and pick with the curved side for the brightest and loudest sound.

Love my new picks! Doctor approved!
Just got my first set of Honu Picks and I LOVE THEM!! I am new to the instrument but have played guitar and I am used to using a pic. I haven't like the sound the pic gives on the Ukulele. The Honu Pick is amazing!!! The Ergonomic design is perfect!! Thank you!!Dr. Whitney Cline

Works Great,
These are great in a band situation. They were very slick and hard to hold onto at first, but used a leather conditioner on them. Now I have no problems.

very nice. I split the pack with my daughter
Protects the tip of your strumming fingers. I do not hesitate when strumming because I know my finger is protected. very nice. I split the pack with my daughter, who is a more serious player than I am right now!

Don't bother
This pick is ridiculous. cut up an old belt and youd probably have the same experience. this pick is bulky, awkward, and weird. for the ukulele fingers are your best picks. but i have very brittle nails. there are much better picks out there that arent as easy to drop.while playing. get a real thumb pick. otherwise what are you going to do.when you have to pluck 2 strings...you going to drop this pick just to pluck
