Must read if you interact with others!!!
Kasia and Patryk discuss not only body language but micro-expressions as well. They have spent many years researching body language and how it subconsciously plays a role in sales /negotiations, love /dating, lie detection, and our overall communication. They have found that the use of body language and the ability to decipher it contributes immensely to our success. ”Your body language always wants to tell the truth about how you are feeling ”, so once you master the art of nonverbal communication it is like being given the gift to read people’s minds. This book is an excellent text not only for reading other's body language, but to also understand how your own body language may affect others. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it; it is very fresh and clarifying, I highly recommend it, you will learn to read body language and will be able to understand others behavior without talking much. It is necessary if you work with people every day. Kasia and Patryk are experts in the field of nonverbal communication. Their work is backed by scientific research so the information provided in this book is not based on speculation, it has been tested and validated by science. One of the advantages of this book is that it takes the information and explains how to apply it to your everyday life by using real-life scenarios. It’s a straightforward and well-written book. The information you want to know is easy to find and to understand. There are a lot of interesting little bits of information everywhere and it a great read. Also, at the end of each chapter, there is a summary that reinforces what you just learned. If you want to be more persuasive, gain confidence, be better in sales or just be a great communicator this is a must read!

Not worth $1
Unfortunately, this is one of “those books” that takes small things, mischaracterizes their meaning, and leads a reader into greater misunderstanding most people. If my legs are stretched out I’m interested? Why not tired or bored? If my head is tilted to the side I’m vulnerable or open-minded? Why not puzzled?A much better book is What Every Body is Saying by Joe Navarro.

The best body language book I've ever read! Essential for persuasion.
As the owner of an executive career firm, I have been following Kasia and Patryk for years, as they are the best in the business when it comes to interpreting body language. I was so excited when I heard they had come out with a book, and they did not disappoint. This book is packed with not only how to interpret other people's body language, but also how to portray positive body language yourself, which is essential in a high-stakes executive interview. Each chapter not only outlines what they will teach, but also provides a summary at the end of each chapter to review each body position and what it means. This is extremely helpful when learning as much material as they provide in this book.I am going to strongly recommend that every one of my executive clients purchase a hard copy of this book, because this information is invaluable to someone going through a hiring process for a six-figure or seven-figure position!

I have been following the work of the Wezowskis for several years. As an instructor of interview techniques and the use of meaningful behavior, I have also written several books on body language and using it in criminal interrogations. Their work on micro gestures and other meaningful behavior has been excellent. What makes this book especially good is their down to earth everyday clear language as they discuss the material. Unfortunately, some authors feel they have to impress the reader with complex sentence structure and use enigmatic wording (hard to understand). Kasia and Patryk do not do this. Additionally, their book contains numerous drawings to illustrate the behavior being discussed. I often tell my students that a good body language book should have many pictures and illustrations, this book does. I have purchased this new book for my instructors with instruction to read it to support their courses. I also recommend books to my students to obtain and read. This book will go on the list. Overall, excellent book.

Body Language is Key to Better Dates, Interviews & Team Meetings
This book is a clear and well-crafted guide to the ins and outs of body language. Interpreting body language accurately is a major component of Emotional Intelligence, which drives success. As the authors say, body language doesn't lie, so learning to send and receive appropriate signals, including micro-expressions (fleeting facial expressions) can be the key to successful dating, interviewing, networking, negotiating, and team interactions. There's a fine line between confident body language and "negative" body language (aggressive, having the opposite of intended effect), and this book gives helpful insights to both sides as well as practice exercises designed to improve interpretation of body language. In short, body language is an additional channel of communication that we overlook at our own peril. If you want to be sure that your overall body/being is in sync with the words coming out of your mouth, you need to read this book!

Powerful information in One Book
I appreciate Wezowski using presidential candidates as examples in the beginning of the book. The references are excellent because I can search for the archives and review how non-verbal communication is expressed by well-known people. My favorite reason for buying this book is to understand micro-expressions and the connections they have to the truth of how we feel inside. I am a psychology student and I believe this book will help me express myself better to others, and understand others better when I communicate. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a book.

Very detailed and applicable
The book is a thorough guide to body language.Sometimes you can’t quite figure out what is being communicated but when you can sense it (i.e. decoding subtle body language) you have a step up from other people.Highly recommend this book, it details all the subtle nuances. It will help you at work. If you manage people it will help you become a better people person. Understanding body language Is a highly valued skill in social interactions. This book is not too difficult to read. Has lots of research but easily understandable. My personal interest in body language is for self defence reasons. Awareness is the first form of self defence. Learning to read a situation is key & body language is a strong component of it, your’s and any potential attacker’s. Confident body language makes you less of a target. Situational awareness can save your ass on the streets more times than any martial arts moves and is often overlooked.

A comprehensive guide to understanding body language
I am halfway through reading this deeply insightful book. The title “Without saying a word” says it all. I bought it to deepen and enhance my life coaching skills and it has certainly elevated my coaching by helping me to better read and wisely understand how to advance my clients to the next level. It is simple and easy to read, to the point and descriptive enough. I gained a lot from the open hand gestures and this alone has already helped my own workshops and presentation skills. Irrespective of one’s profession or intentions for reading this book, I believe it can make us all better communicators and so enjoy better relationships.

Interesting and useful
I teach call centre courses and it hadn’t struck me how body language can also affect telephone communication so I will be using this technique and I have only started reading this book today. I have learned so much already and I look forward to reading more. The best thing I like about this book is the practical applications, especially how it can help improve presentations and sales and for someone who is about to set up a business which will involve regular speaking gigs I can see this book bring a great help. I loved the tv series lie to me and this book also looks at micro expressions which I find really interesting.

body language manual
The book is very easy to read and understand and is also very practical because it contains lots of body language signals/expressions and its meaning. Almost all of the signals and expressions have at least one related illustration and with each there's also advice on how to act and the possible interpretations. In the last chapter of the book there are some exercises to practice what you've learned, which was the part I enjoyed the most.Overall the book is very concise and practical, my only complain is not having more illustrations with different variations or contexts for the same body language signal.

This book really rings true.
I particularly like the emphasis on authenticity, as I had anticipated that knowledge of body language might encourage manipulation. I also appreciated the practical examples so that I could go beyond understanding to application of the principles. The implications of this book are clear - aligning one’s emotions and thought processes is valuable for all parties in order to communicate effectively and positively. Subtle yet concise interpretations of combinations of gestures and micro expressions enabled me to feel more confident in many areas of my life.
