Recycling Projects for the Evil Genius 1st Edition

I was very interested in making recycled boards with plastic mentioned in the teaser. This book gives the why along with the how and is a great read even if you don't make anything (I haven't yet, but still intend to.) Kids will need adult supervision for the projects.

Had to get it.

This book was just a basic crafting book. The recipes were simplistic and everything is so basic I think a simple web search would have yielded similar information. All polymer recycling was simply "heat it up, but don't burn it, then pour into a mold." Disappointing for the Evil Genius series. If you know absolutely nothing about chemistry, polymers, fibers, fermentation, basic material science, etc. then this book might be informative for you, or suitable for children.

I bought this for my Geeky husband and he loves it. There are a lot of things we would not do (make bricks out of plastic bags) because of resources, but it sure give you something to think about. We are staunch recyclers and hackers of things so this book is right up our alley.

A decent book of green life hacks.

This is a wonderful book that once I started reading and doing the projects, I simply couldn't put it down. Russel has done all the research and describes how to do the projects in easy to understand language. The illustrations also help the user to complete the projects. I bought extra copies and gave them away to my Son's for Christmas and now we all enjoy doing the projects. It is amazing what you can build with papercrete!

I would highly recommend this book. It meets all of my expectations. Worth every penny!
