Only Taste Receptors Know!
It is difficult to rate anything that's a matter of personal taste. Taste is a matter of enculturation; what children like to consume in a different culture may be distasteful to those in another (try Poi or Durian for examples). Though the two main receptors (sweet and sour) are consistent, perception of the blending of the two differs widely, as is the gustatory system response developed regionally. Unlike electronics and such; you cannot determine if you will buy such a product based upon customer ratings because you will always find those who both love and hate the taste of something. Such reactionary responses are not reliable; better to read an honest taste critic rather than the reactionary: "Oh gross!" Always buy sample sizes at first (share with others) and decide for yourself.Any coffee consumed alone is bitter: This is why most (but not all) people consume coffee either with a type of creamer or sweetened in some way. I use raw organic honey and organic half-n-half creamer; however, I mix whole beans (75% Swiss decaffeinated organic with 25% regular beans that are Hazelnut or Chocolate flavored). Tiny Footprint Coffee tastes very good to me, but that's based upon how I make it. If I brewed it alone and drank it straight, I may not like it.The package arrived on-time (as is common with Amazon.com); the beans arrived full-grown and whole; the aroma is typical of whole beans. The only negative comment I have is that they shipped a three-pound unit in one large clear plastic bag that was not vacuum sealed; that surprised me upon arrival. In fact, if vacuum sealed, it would have meant a smaller bag and less room in the shipping box (a win-win). The image provided herein is probably a one-pound paper bag, but the stick-on label looks just the same. I will give it a 5-star once they commit to vacuum sealing all their beans, and also, sell five-pound blocks as well. Pax vobiscum! PAA

Avid coffee drinker...xoxo
As an avid black coffee drinker I love this coffee. I find that the level of acidity is correctly proportioned and it does not overpower the drinker. If anything some may consider it a bit weak unless you get the correct proportion of coffee to water fixed to your liking. Since that is truly a matter of taste I can't say that it has anything to do with this product. Personally I blend the decaf and the caff version from this brand to make a 1/2 caff version. It is a large bag and when ground it appears to stay fresh in a canister. I brew a pot of coffee every other day and this bag will last me a couple months when doing 1/2 and 1/2 decaf to caf. I would imagine it would last minimally a month if you drink a pot a day at 3 standard coffee scoops. While I don't generally advocate product in plastic (they do sell smaller bags in the standard paper fold top bags) I do like that if you just clip the corner of this bag it is easy to pour into a grinder and easy to fold over and clip closed. It does not have a resealable open/close option.

Great value, very good medium blend
Great decaf, great deal, very fresh. Love this coffee it is grown with conservation in mind and environmentally awesome. I love that taste, but would like to get one that is a darker roast, since I like bold dark coffees and this is not quite that. I have been mixing it with a little dark Sumatra. If I can find this company with a darker roast I will definitely re-purchase from this company…

Love the idea behind the mission :-) but to much caffeine for my sensitive body
Taste good. But I am so sensitive to caffeine this made me jittery. I know that decaf is not 100 % caffeine free but this is stronger than the Gorilla fair trade decaf. I tried less but that just tasted watered down. I gave it to my husband ( who normally drinks regular) I can't drink a lot of caffeine because I get the shakes and I start to talk a mile a minute, its like I'm on crack. LOL. So if you are sensitive to coffee like me maybe try something else like The Organic Coffee Co. Ground, Decaf Gorilla, 12 Ounce (Pack of 2) byThe Organic Coffee Company they also have their 2 pack here on Amazon and you can get a subscription too. Love my subscribe and save :-)

An Acquired Taste
When compared to regular coffee this coffee tastes a bit watery. You can add more of it per cup of water to make it a bit strongerwhich I am sure that many people will do. Overall it tastes pretty good when you get used to it, however, will never replace therich taste and smell of the some of the better known commercial brands like Chock Full Of Nuts, Maxwell House etc.I do like that the coffee is grown in organic soil (if we can believe what we are told). And I use chlorine free filters to makecoffee. So this is about as healthy for you as coffee can be...

A Coffee for Tea Lovers.
If you like coffee that is more like tea, then this roast is for you. I like a more robust COFFEE flavor and this didn't cut it. Too light of a roast for me. I usually drink medium to dark roast. However, it still was pleasant enough with cream in the morning. Not bitter, nice and smooth even if seeming a bit "watered down" no matter how strong I made it.

Pricey, but worth it!
So I'm attempting to get pregnant and had to go off the caffeine ....not a pretty couple of weeks since I tend to drink 1+ pot of coffee a day. However, after I found this gem I'm SO SO SO happy. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and can't do local popular chains bc the roast is so carcinogenic it gives me migraines. So when, trying to buy responsibly, I found this I got excited. I drink my coffee black and med dark. This coffee tricks my mind into thinking I'm drinking my regular caffeinated delight. It has a rich full bodied flavor that's not weak (to me) and it's smooth! I've got the three pound whole bean bag on its way!!!! Hope you enjoy.
