As with many of the products from this manufacturer it could be designed better. The problem with this one is that the bulb and holder are visible through the glass even when the light is off. When lit the bulb shines brightly on the eye. I cut some foil to cover the bulb from direct sight and it improved the lighting effect but looks a bit tacky. Something (like a leaf) could have been incorporated into the design. The switch is handy and the colour of the base is nice though.
