Screwdriver & pliers is easier
Review is for the staple remover only, I haven't tried the other tools. Bought it to help re-upholster some medical stools. This did not get under the existing staples very well at all. I resorted to using a screwdriver to get the staple started and pliers to pull it out, which turned out to be much easier. Can't recommend this staple puller, or "leaver" - at all.Only left 2 stars because the other tools may be useful for pulling those push-lok type anchors if I ever need to. Overall I would have returned this set, had I tried it within the return window. At least it's inexpensive.

Tools for the homeowner
My bride decided to remove the coverings on the kitchen chairs. She did not want my help! I gave some instructions and ordered these tools. They arrived quickly along with the staples, but not so quickly that my frustrated wife couldn't call a local upholsterer who picked up the chairs the same day. The tools were just what I needed through, having done upholstery work thirty years ago. There is always another project waiting for the right tools!

Lever pry works well
Thousands of staples to remove on my project and the pry tool (combined with a sharp implement to start the staple up) works well - pops the staple completely out most of the time. The other tool is apparently a throw-in, way too thick at the end to remove any staples or tacks. But the wedge/pryer device worked pretty well as seems substantial - so good value.

bought to pull staples from my dining room chairs. they didn't wok for me. but well made. may be exactly right for other projects

Great for pulling up nails and staples from floors after pulling up rugs.

Completely useless for upholstery work.
I used to do upholstery work, and have used some great staple pullers. These are horrible; there is no point and the staple puller end is too thick, so there is absolutely no way to “dig” under a staple to remove it. It’s fine if your staples are not properly seated, but if the staples were seated properly you are out of luck. Returning mine.

Great products.
I used these products for removing staples in a sub-floor prior to installing new laminate flooring and they worked great. If I had to do it again, I would definitely choose these products again and I would recommend them to friends.
