Alpha Dog Series Medium-Sized Indoor Plastic Doghouse (Blue)

We have a chihuahua with epilepsy, so she has seizures every couple of weeks. We keep her indoors unless we are with her, so we have a little pen we set up so we know where she is if we aren’t currently playing with her. (Would want her to have a seizure on the stairs, or near water or anything else dangerous) I had made her the cutest little house out of cardboard, which was really sweet but got dirty fast, since she looses control of her bowels when she has a seizure) so very quickly I realized we needed a wipeable dog house. Unfortunately all the “indoor” dog houses were huge, and were designed to be their own system, not really intended to be fenced in, or they were made out of cloth ( which the outside is washable but the foam inside was not) or wood ( semi washable, but fairly porous, so if a mess sat for a while at night while we were asleep, would 100% be hard to remove the odor completely) so I searched for a plastic dog houses, and most of those were such heavy duty houses, intended for protection against wind and rain, that they were just too big snd ugly to put in the house. Then I saw this house. So close to perfect for our needs that even though there is a small lip on the bottom of the house, that I’m sure at some point will mean I will have to disassemble the house to clean the crack where the walls connect to the floor, that I bought it. Besides that one seam that might be a pain to clean (though only a small pain, 4 screws and it will come right off) I think this house will be perfect for us. It will wipe clean very easily, and seems durable for our indoor use with a 5 pound dog.If you want this for outdoor use, I wouldn’t use it for any actual protection against the elements, except perhaps a bit of shade. It’s not insulated and the roof will probably leak, though I haven’t tested that, just the assembly makes me think rain would easily get in. However for a fun little around the house doghouse, I’d say it’s perfect. My dog is pretty small so it’s a big house for her, but since she is confined to the house and pen we set up for her own safety, I figured we better go as big as we could without getting in the way in our living room. The house comes Unassembled but took me all of 4 minutes to put together, even though the instructions weren’t in English, there are little diagrams and the assembly is so straightforward, it was a cinch to put together. The house was shipped well protected, with both cardboard and foam between each panel and kept the house from any damage or scratches. If yours gets damaged on its way to you, it was 100% because the delivery guy would have had to throw it or crush it significantly, not the manufacturer’s packaging. The package also included a little sample pack of dog treats (which I’ll have to look at the ingredients of before I feed them to my dogs, as I’m very cautious about how pet foods are made) but we’re a nice addition regardless. Plus Twinkle seems to enjoy it :)

Was not sure if my dog would like it but she enjoys getting into it. It is in our living room. She likes being on the couch but is 16 and it is hard for her to get around so we wanted something easy for her to get into. Easy to put together. We left the door off so she can go in from either side. Ours has the green roof. We wanted pink but it was not available so someone called us to offer us the choice of brown or green. It is sturdy and really cute. It is kind of expensive but we are glad we ordered it. She is an 8 pound mini dachshund and 2 or 3 her size could fit into it at the same time. We got her started getting into it by putting some treats inside for her to find. We did put a small bed and fleece blanket in it for her to arrange to her liking.

I absolutely loved this little dog house. It’s very well-made and it’s absolutely adorable. I had to return it unfortunately only because it was a little bit bigger than the area that I need to place it but I would highly recommend this for the price. I live in such a small house that size is always an issue with everything that I buy.

Easy to assemble & so cute! I bought this for my 6 pound Yorkiepoo, as a little place for her to nap. She didn’t hesitate to try out her new home as soon as I put it together!Would definitely recommend this!

My 18lb shiba fits perfectly in this house. I wish it was a tad bigger so the door would be bigger for her to enter. Other than that I’m 100% satisfied.
