Vulkem 116 Aluminum Stone 10 Oz. Polyurethane Sealant

I used this product to fill 3/8" holes drilled into bluestone and concrete. Because part of this project was a cosmetic repair, I masked the edges of the holes with blue tape to prevent any overspill on the bluestone. Since the holes were deep (6-10"), I first inserted filler rope backer rods into the holes and then topped them up with 3/4"-1" of the Vulkem caulk. I smoothed the caulk a little with a putty knife, but it is very thick and sticky and not very workable. The Aluminum Stone color was a pretty good match with the bluestone and since using it 3 weeks ago there has been no shrinkage and the surface seems very firm. So far so good – I'd recommend this product.
