Radian E3/N3 for Cameras

When the product arrived, I was excited to start using it, but unfortunately the cable that connects to the camera was missing. I contacted Radian support and they asked me to visit their website and tell them which cable I needed. I responded, but never got any more emails after that. I contacted them again and I was just ignored.Still, I was able to use it with a cable I borrowed from a friend. The Radian works well enough, but there's a lot of room for improvement. The app isn't very clear on what it's doing, if the Radian was programmed succesfully or not. None of the tests I ran through the app worked, but the actual programming sorta worked. I wasn't able to edit the ramp settings after doing it the first time. The actual device needs a stop/start button in addition to the on/off. Otherwise, you're trying to program it while it's taking photos at the same time.I ended up returning it to Amazon partially because of these issues, but mainly because of the lack of response from their support team.

Just got this today. I was very excited when I got the Amazon notice telling me it had been delivered a day earlier than promised. Well the excitement quickly took a nose dive when I realized that the device would not let me program it. I proceeded to watch their videos on how to get it working, I followed instructions on verifying software was compatible. All for nothing still not letting me program it. I filed a trouble ticket and the whole bulls*** about we'll get back to you. Yo, Alpine Labs I work hard for my money. I like what I spend 249 dollars on to work. Get your s*** together. I will be returning this crap and working harder to get a better product. Thanks for nothing.

This worked 5 times and that was it. No customer support. Save your money..go with the surp.

There is a lot to potentially admire with this product, but my experience so far has been very poor. It worked initially then seemed to give up, which was disappointing. What concerns me the most is the level of support being provided. They claim to aspire to a 24-48 hours response to support requests which is not good enough. Worse still is their actual performance - the most recent request has gone unanswered for more than 72 hours now. I cannot recommend this product or company because if you have a problem or the product is defective you will struggle.

LOVE this item! Works great for still photography timelapse. Haven't tried with video yet, but I'm sure it will work great. Can't beat it for the price and quality.

You connect your camera to the radian, tell it how many degrees (if at all) you would like it to rotate and press 'Upload'. That's it! Attach it to an Alpine Labs L-Bracket, set it on a motion slider, and you've got yourself an amazingly sophisticated shot without the difficulty of an overly complicated set up! Amazing for star-lapses, landscapes, panoramas, and just about anything time-lapse.4. Perhaps the best part - it costs less than $300! Good motion time-lapse equipment is supposed to be expensive, right? Wrong says Alpine Labs! All of their gear is amazingly affordable and well within reach for the hobbyist or independent filmmaker.In closing, with this device Alpine Labs has secured their position atop the motion time-lapse game. The Radian is a motion timelapse device made for timelapses and works great for video. It works with any camera that has a shutter port. The Radian app allows you to control the device for pans and tilts for timelapses or video.The body is mostly plastic, but feels durable enough to handle rough usage. It is very compact and portable compared to similar devices. The bottom has a quarter inch tripod socket to connect to a tripod and a quarter inch camera thread on the top to connect the camera. The camera can be screwed directly on to the Radian itself or you can use a quick release plate to make it faster to attach.The Radian is very easy to use and has the app available for IOS and Android. The camera is plugged into the shutter camera port and the phone is plugged into a 3.5mm audio port to program the device. All you have to do is set the degrees you want it to pan or tilt, set the duration of the timelapse, and the interval of each photo. There are advanced controls that allow you to control the speed of the pan or tilt during the timelapse and bulb ramping to smoothly transition from day to night.The Radian performs the way you want it to and does a good job with panning and tilting. The setup is quick even when you are in a rush. It is great for any timelapse because of its shoot-move-shoot ability. This is a great setup for anyone looking for an affordable motion-controlled device.
