Heats up quickly, especially when using HDMI port
Overall, it’s great, especially for the price. Every port works flawlessly (and the HDMI is very smooth, way more reliable and quicker to respond than the standalone HDMI dongle from AmazonBasics), and even works when you need to do port selection. But it worries me how hot it can get with prolonged use of the HDMI port, regardless of what display I use. If that’s a dealbreaker for you, ok. If you want something cheap that works great, and don’t care if it runs a little hot sometimes, don’t waste double the money on the other alternatives.

Great Little Hub!
Love the sleek design, the way it matches the color of my space grey macbook pro perfectly, and doesn't dangle like a dongle. I had hoped it would fit perfectly flush against my macbook, but there is a bit of a gap between them. Not really a big issue as it works fine, feels like a solid fit, and still appears as an extension of my laptop.

This usb hub is just amazing!
I needed an adaptor for my new macbook pro because it does not have a usb port. I searched for the best product and found this amazing adaptor. It matches my space grey macbook pro and it looked like it was made by apple. I love that it has all the ports I’ll ever need and that I don’t have to have different converting cords everywhere! I received it today and have had no problems in the last few hours using it! Now, not only can I plug in my usb devices, I can charge my laptop, use mini sd and sd slots, hdmi, and thunderbolt. This is great!

It’s alright
It gets really hot after prolonged use. Be careful when touching if it’s been plugged in a while. It also doesn’t fit flush with the computer but has a gap. It does the job I needed it to do: 3 stars, but I would honestly look for a different one.

Needs stabilizer. Not sure about keeping it plugged in on lap.
Used for a new Mac but needs a stabilizer. I feel like it’s a strain on the ports because it’s not 100% flat on the desk when plugged in. Had to play with the USB port to get the cord in. It’s ok

Plug and play
It is so easy to use . Just plug and play. Can’t get any easier than that.

Deteriorates quickly
Item was nice when new but soon started losing connections. Sometimes works for a few minutes each time i use it now but I cannot rely on it. Does not happen with my other adapter.
