Good buy, happy I chose this pepper/salt grinder
So far, I'm very happy with this.I chose this grinder because I believe it will be easier to clean than cheap grinders. None of us want to leave seasoning jars used when we are cooking raw food without washing. I decided I'm switching all my jars to glass for the ease of cleaning the outside between each meal prep. Because it is one piece with two ingredients that I use together on almost everything, I have less to wash.So convenient to just grab one container than have more clutter on counter. I am going to get more of these for other seasonings I use often and yet another for the kitchen table.Being completely honest, I feel the storage chambers and grinders were difficult to clean with soap and water before use, but I managed. I remove red the caps, separated the grinder parts by unscrewing them from the center piece with the storage compartments, washed the caps, grinders and compartments with soapy water, rinsed each piece. The center piece w storage and grinder pieces I took time and I rinsed them several times with lukewarm water. For final rinse, I used water that was about 140Β° f to be sure pathogens were killed and left it in the water for about 2 minutes (from what I was taught, that requires water temp over 120Β°, please verify this for your own safety), I laid the storage compartment piece on its side and all pieces separately on a cooling rack for max airflow over two nights to be certain it completely dried, I don't want to allow pathogens a chance.I've used this a few times, it does a great job grinding. I really like that I get my salt fine enough it seems like a powder.HTH others

Stop the suffering. You don't have to deal with an inferior grinder any more!
Ah the lowly salt and pepper grinders. After our old cheap set of them just kind of stopped working 6 months ago, I wound up taking them apart and gluing some bits back together, and put up with them for a bit longer. But they were messy, had to have their own tray on the counter, and didn't do a decent grind at all. After a frustrating morning with my eggs, trying to get enough salt and pepper on them to give them the flavor pop they so desperately needed, I heaved the old ones into the trash and began my search.Fortunately, this search didn't force me to cross the sea, scale a mountain, or use a plane to get to a remote island to find the perfect grinder. A quick stop on Amazon with some reading of reviews, and it appeared that my search was over. It couldn't be that simple, could it? With visions of a single turn on the grinder and a perfectly seasoned egg, I eagerly pressed the buy it now button and waited. Although I knew that an extra day of waiting might well be the death of me, I stuck it out and somehow made it until that Monday when my new precious arrived. On Monday, I made what I hoped would be my last sad omelette, having to resort to an old bottle of ground white pepper in the spice rack. Around 2 in the afternoon, my security system began to yell loudly. Warning me of either a pending alien invasion or the UPS truck. Fortunately for the human race it was the latter, as usual. Although my rather loud (and large) security system might disagree.I opened up the package, which for a change didn't look like it had been used to beat away a pack of ravening hyenas, and there it was. The perfect grinder. Caps on top and bottom and a see through storage compartment in all it's glory. Immediately I grabbed the grey Hawaiian sea salt (which I had crossed the sea to get, many years ago in my youth) and filled up one side. I laughed when I turned it over and no salt was wasted on the counter top. I grabbed the full jar of peppercorns from my rack, and dumped the whole thing into the grinder. Seriously? The whole jar? Not just most of it so I'd forget to get more and run out? Yeah. The WHOLE jar.Eager to test it, I ran to the sink. I began to grind some salt- and a more even grind I could not ask for. I replaced the cap (Ha! Still not dumping any extra salt down the drain!) and switched to the pepper side, with the same result. The grinder felt great in my hands, with positive feedback that in fact, it was putting out just the right amount of pepper. This morning, as I finish my perfectly seasoned eggs and hash browns, I recall how long I'd suffered with an inferior way of grinding salt and pepper. Fortunately, my hunger sated for now, I sit contented. Knowing that my days of suffering are over, as the perfect grinder was now in my kitchen.

Nice idea, if your grinder just makes fine salt or pepper, check out my solution in the body of my review.
Original Review: Nice idea just a little small. You have to fill up the salt and pepper chambers all the time. Grinds very small.UPDATE: Per the comment below Ari (the owner) emailed me a couple of times to go over the reason the grinder was producing such fine salt and pepper. He sent me a link to a self produced video explaining a particular problem that had been experienced since they changed to their latest design. I followed the instructions but still couldn't get larger salt or pepper granules... Until it did a little experimenting on my own. What I discovered is that as the salt/pepper are ground, a small amount stays lodged in the ceramic grinders causing them to bind. As a result when the wingnut is loosened it has no effect on the size of the ground salt/pepper. To remedy this I loosened the wingnut and twisted the grinder head the opposite of when I was grinding salt/pepper. The result is the rotation in the opposite direction of grinding allows the ceramic grinders to loosen and then settle into the space allocated by the loosened wingnut. This makes the grind a little more coarse. I used this process on both the salt and pepper grinders with 100% success. In regard to the size, I failed to take into account that a grinder on each end reduces the amount of space available for salt and pepper. And having both spices in the same grinder reduces by half the available space. (DUH) As such it is a nice grinder and I have changed my rating to a 4. I would have given a 4.5 but that's a little difficult given Amazon's rating system. ;-)In conclusion I was impressed that Ari and his wife responded but kept at it until the problem was resolved. Occasionally I run across dedicated owners who not only care about the product they sell but also about the satisfaction of the customer. Lifestyle Dynamics is one such company and Ari and his wife are two such owners.

Works great, great quality.
I purchased this product on 2015, it lasted 7 years...I tried the one's with batteries, most of the time they don't work.I'm back to this product, I liked that is 2 in 1 and is a space saver, that I don't have to worry if I got both the Pepper and Salt when cooking, with this product they are together.

No mess
Brilliant grinder and a good size, fits in the hand nicely. It is easy to fill and looks cool when filled. The best thing about it are the lids which cover the ends so you dont need to always set it on a dish to catch any excess that usually escapes from other grinders i've used.

Have had for a few months and it's still working. Design works well and looks great. Annoying lids keep getting lost, otherwise all good
