You can never get enough PF
I discovered the music of the Partridge Family when I was ten years old in 1970 and here I am in 2015 about to turn 55, and I am still loving the music! It never gets old ("Roller Coaster" is playing now). David and company take me back to a time when life was more simpler. Just before leaving for school in the mornings I'd have to play "I'm On My Way Back Home" to get my day going. This song isn't on here but that's okay. I'm happy to have another compilation and I am very happy to get a stereo version of "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do," one of their best singles. Maybe someday we'll get a Partridge Family box set.

Great sound and price
Was pleased to find this CD new on the market, but honestly, there's hardly anything new. To have a stereo remastering of 'Breaking Up Is Hard To Do' is great, but all the other songs appear on other Partridge albums, including 'Very Best Of', 'Definitive Collection' and 'Greatest Hits'. A good find for die-hard Partridge geeks like myself but fans less rabid than myself will be perfectly content with the other aforementioned albums. Would love to see a re-release of 'Bulletin Board' (my original CD was stolen out of my car - on Christmas Eve, no less). Also, I read that this show overproduced its music, meaning there are many other songs and takes never before released. A Partridge mega-CD set would be most welcome (it was done with 'Dark Shadows'' soundtrack, of all things. So, there's hope.).

Pure Partridge Pleasure!
This is the best compilation of the Partridge Family's hits...including never before CD release of stereo mix of "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do"! Also, great artwork and information for each selection. Maybe the only thing I would have changed about it is including "One Day At A Time" from "Crossword Puzzle" instead of "Summer Days". I always hate seeing "Crossord Puzzle" overlooked when there are some really great songs on this album. Other than that, you can't miss with this playlist!

Decent selection
I purchased this just to get more of a sense of the 1970s music scene and felt this was a good way to get a group's music you usually don't see on compilation CDs. It's a decent selection. My grade may have more to do with not being a crazy Partridge Family fan, but more of just a casual Top 40 fan of the era. Usually you can get it for a very cheap price. If you can, and at least enjoy the group, you'll enjoy the CD enough to get it.

New Stereo Mix of BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO makes this a MUST HAVE!
The new STEREO version of BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO is an amazing mix and really brings this classic version to life. Especially poignant with the recent passing of David Cassidy :(

Great CD, has many of their biggest hits. This music picks you up and makes me remember those "C'mon Get Happy" days. I play it on my way home from work and sing along!

Another compilation?? THIS IS DIFFERENT!! Buy It!
On the outset, you may wonder why Sony has released yet another compilation albeit only 14 tracks compared to 4 previous CD compilation during the past 2 decades or so (Lunchbox, David Cassidy's Partridge Favourites, Definitive and Come on Get Happy Very Best of..) Well this is a part of series of CDs called Playlist: The very best of.. on various different singers/groups and now they have turned their attention on The Partridge Family. To make this CD unique they have included the first time ever on any format the STEREO mix (Original Hit version) of 'Breaking Up is Hard To Do' which sounds absolutely STUNNING!!!On the whole all the tracks featured are Greatest Hits Songs and popular album tracks depicted from US market sales as oppose to the different UK/worldwide releases like 'Walking in the rain'. The sound quality is excellent.I always wondered why 'Breaking Up Is Hard To Do' was never previously released in stereo. It's probably because it was never an album track though it was made during the same recording sessions as some of the other hits. And went straight to 7" single release which was mono and this master was subsequently used for the then upcoming compilations. But especially for this Brand new compilation release the stereo backing/vocal tracks have finally been engineered together. And as I always imagined to my personal expectation a TRUE STEREO SOUND! with backing vocals and instruments nicely separated. This is the reason this CD is a must buy.The CD: This is beautifully package, with full blown pages of rare colour photos, and terrific liner notes composite nicely together. The CD comes in a standard white coloured jewell case.I figured apart from the umpteenth reissues of Partridge Family Albums on CD, compilations are very far inbetween making this latest one the fifth since the CD format came about as to why there haven't been that many unreleased Partridge Family Songs which are just as brilliant and very well known. I will say to SONY MUSIC who owns this material remember there's a lot of people/fans out there around the world who have seen re-runs of the TV series or bought the DVD who are familiar with all the unreleased Partridge Family songs and would like some form of CD compilation. I hope with the engineering of 'Breaking Up Is Hard To Do' stereo version, this may pave way to the unreleased songs.

Great ReMaster
....and the plus for every PF Fan - the Stereo Mix of Breaking Up Is Hard To Do which really jumps out of the speakers !! Can't believe this has never been on a Best Of or Greatest Hits package before (to the best of my knowledge)The Partridge Family are really underrated because of the session musician/TV show angle - but taking the music on it's own merits, the project had great songwriters and the Wrecking Crew as backing musicians - most of the music produced was of a very high standard.
