This is a super solid Flex Shaft with excessive torgue and power!!! They offer severl different models, I chose this one simply because of the Hp and the on and off swith on the head unit. That is not a normal option in these hanging flex shafts, but I wanted it. This was when I leave the shop I know it is powered off. The foot pedal works as it should, the more you press down with your foot the faster the shaft spins. You can adjust this by a set screw in the bottom of the pedel, so you can get it just like you want. I would suggest that you attach the pedal to somethin so it doesn't keep sliding around, it is plastic and although built tough, it needs something to attached to it so it stays put. I really like this machine and think it will last a very long time, comes with extra brushes, so you can rebuild them when needed. That has to be worth $20 alone! Very Happy and have recommend this to other silversmiths and carvers!

Very powerful. In my initial use, the cable on the flexshaft broke near the motor unit. I'm thinking that the 1/4 horsepower motor is too powerful for it's matching components. I contacted the seller and they expedited delivery on a new cable.This is a very nice alternative to the very expensive Foreman units. And, it's great to have a responsive seller!

You get what you pay for. Came with a new cable which is good because the original one broke with in a hour and 20 mins. The second one 2 hours and it was not a constant use. Almost finished the project (porting a set of aluminum heads) The chuck keeps falling off.The speed control is poor the pedal has a lot of travel but it goes halfway before comes on and slightly after that it’s on full speed so not very good control of speed.Power was good motor dos have a lot of Torque

Garbage, the shaft broke as soon as I started the tool. Now the seller is offering a free 375w grinder if I change my review! Now I know why this has “good” reviews. Buyer beware!!

I purchased this item for jewelry making and it works somewhat, the foot control is terrible and I needed to replace it. it works much much better now.

I purchased this product 6 months ago but was unable to use it until Nov. 2019. When I attempted to use it did not operate either with the foot pedal supplied or without the pedal. Because I was unaware that it was defective I was not able to return it to Amazon. This product is used to carve soapstone and is totally incapable. Very disappointing as not inexpensive...the company should be ashamed with such quality control!!

I decided i needed something with a little more power :)I had been using small rotary tools to do decorative work on steel but they would slow down so much every time i tried to make a cut with a carbide burr or use a sanding drum. I needed a little more motor. I bought this because it has a big enough chuck to use the 1/4" shank tools and the 1/8' inch tools. It has worked out great so far. I only have about 5 hours of use so far but no complaints. It even works well with the bigger 1" sanding drums.
