Baby Proofing Magnetic Child Safety Locks for Cabinet Cupboard Drawer Doors 20 Locks 3 Keys

We have a new Grandson, who will be able to crawl/walk in the next few months. I was looking for something that would prevent access to our kitchen/bathroom cabinets that would be hidden from sight and would not require drilling into the cabinets or screws that could damage the wood. This product of twenty Magnetic Safety locks was perfect. With the template included in the kit, it was incredibly easy to install. The locks are completely hidden so it does not spoil the look of the kitchen. When my grandson is not visiting I can flip a switch on the lock that disables the catch so your cabinets work as they always do (no magnet needed). Most importantly the adhesive was plenty strong and should keep prying little hands from opening the cabinets. The kit also included 3 magnets used to open the locks and extra adhesive strips in case you need to reinstall in the future. The only thing that was a disappointment was I could not secure a kitchen drawer that contained silverware because the magnet could not penetrate the extra depth of the drawer. When you combine the wood drawer box + the wood drawer face it was too thick (almost 2 inches of wood) for the magnet to penetrate. Note that there was no problem with the regular wood cabinet face (3/4 inch of wood), the magnet worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend this Magnetic Child Safety Lock.

These locks are VERY easy to install and easier to operate than others I've tried in the past. There's no drilling or hammering, just peel off stickers and put into place. They work very well. I bought several boxes and put them on all the drawers and cabinet doors in my kitchen, bathrooms, family room, and then gifted more to my son and D-I-L for their new house. They like them better than the ones they used before as well. When the cherub isn't staying with Nana, I just lift the lever on the lock, and it's inactivated. When I want the door/drawer inaccessible, the lever goes down, and she can't open the door, but I can with the little round magnetic key...GENIUS!! I LOVE these!

I use this to keep my son out of the drawers in my bedroom and it works great. The adhesive isn't as strong as it needs to be in order to keep a toddler out of stuff though.

I really wanted this to work. It didn't come with instructions so I had to youtube it and look someones product review to see how it worked. But, it wasn't bad to install. I even waited 24 hours after installing it to try it out. First light attempt, the clip falls off with just a bit of a tug. I figured, maybe I did something wrong, so I installed another piece, and this time waited nearly a week to try it.....same thing! It just doesn't work for what I need I guess.

I prepped and prepped all my surfaces for these locks. The cabinet door pieces are adhering well. No problems there. However, the latch that adheres to the cabinet itself, continued to fall off. I don't know if it's gravity or the latch from the door lock hitting it every time it closes, but I could not get it to stay. I eventually went and purchased super sticky command strips and it does fine now. The locks work great! When they stick.

I love that the product is sturdy and keeps cabinets locked without the appliance having to be outside. The installation was a little difficult at first but with practice it got easier.It doesnt work for drawers in our kitchen due to this large lip inside cabinet.

We purchased this product in January and installed them. They have been working great, except the plastic on the magnet keys is very cheap and breaks easily. Out of three magnets, none remain in their plastic case. We decided to order a second set to baby proof more cabinets and drawers and also use the magnets, however they must have changed brands or something because the product we received the second time is totally different. It is packaged completely differently and worst of all, the magnets are terrible. The first time we ordered, they wouldn't open our existing locks or the locks they came with. We thought it was a dud so we ordered again, same thing. The magnet is too weak to open the original locks we installed. We would either have to rip all of them out and start over, or try to remember which magnet is strong enough to open which locks.Unrelated to the magnet weakness, my main complaint is these are very large. For smaller kitchen and bathroom drawers, they do not fit. We have to leave those drawers empty since we can't latch them. Overall, disappointing.

There is an initial learning curve the 1st few I applied, but then things started moving much quicker. Directions could have been a little bit better, but not make or break. I have some 1960's built in's that they just would not work on, but work everywhere else and much better than the ones you have to screw into the wood. My 3 yr old can not open them, she thinks I open them with magic🧙‍♀️🤫😆. So for now we are good.

The media could not be loaded. A little tricky to figure out at first but once you do, it’s a great tool. The adhesive is very strong but I placed it in the wrong place and it was very easy to remove after I heated it with a hair dryer. I used the same one again and it still worked. I’ve been using these everywhere so that my dog doesn’t get into the kitchen cabinets and it’s been great.

Works well so far and much nicer then the ones you can see visually
