Origami Paper Animals Paperback – September 1, 2001

I'm not an origami master so I enjoy a more relaxing design now and then in addition to more challenging folds like those in the john montroll books. So I enjoyed some of these for that reason. However, if you aren't into using scissors to get the result this may not be the book for you. For me this book is actually more like a 3 star for that reason but I gave it 4 because I do think a lot of people would enjoy it. The directions are clear and the designs are cute and won't have you throwing the book and half finished creation at the wall- they are fairly easy.

Our daughter got this book as a loan from her school a couple of times so I decide to purchase it for her. She loves it.

Some of the instructions are very difficult to understand and translate into a proper looking specimen of the animal they are to resemble, others are too dumb in appearance for a child to recognize the animal that it's supposed to be.

Grand daughter loves it!

Origami Paper Animals includes clear and easy to follow directions and i lots of fun. Arrived as promised in good condition.

I like this book. When I first saw it, I flipped through it and saw some figures that used some rather interesting techniques. That is why I originally bought it.Upon further examination, I found myself really appreciating the look of the models taught within. Some are really cute.The diagrams are quite clear and nicely colored. The models are at the beginner's end of the complexity spectrum, but are still very nice. The small price tag is another nice selling point. Too many of the good books are way to expensive for their contents but that is not the case with this book.

I was expecting to have animal print paper in the box, to match the animals that were being created through origami. No such luck. Had to go out and buy some.
