The lenses are not focused right. You'll have to ...
The lenses are not focused right. You'll have to focus your eyes as if your focusing on your fingers about 4 inches away. The magnet and washer don't do anything on a Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and iPhone 6. Also, there's no QR code for the Google Cardboard app to scan, so there are no settings to import for this headset, which is ashamed, because it needs it. But the headgear itself is decent.

Wrong lenses?
The lenses don't seem to have the right focal point. I don't see an image large enough to encompass my field of view. Perhaps it's because I'm using an extended battery with my galaxy s4 but this phone works well with my other Google cardboard headset. I may try trimming down the edge of the middle divider took see if that helps but I get the feeling the lenses are not the right ones. Also the foam pieces have a strong odor but perhaps that's to be expected.

It has easily correctable minor flaws, and is loads of fun to play with
Colors vary from those shown in the photograph, and I'm not yet sure how to get my phone to recognize the NFC tag that was included in the kit, but overall it works very well and the closed cell foam makes it comfortable to wear. Mine came with the selection magnet stuck to the inner layer of foam and impossible to slide. I removed the magnet by lifting it with a jeweler's screwdriver and cutting a small thin piece of paper to fit over the tacky/sticky surface of the foam. The result works very well and the fix took less than five minutes.

Well worth the wait.
Although not prime, I decided to order this product after I bought a cardboard one for $8. This product exceeded my expectations. Not only was it already assembled and came with everything but construction wise, it was the best google 'cardboard' Ive ever seen. Buy it and you wont regret it at all. There are tons of apps on the Play store for this.

Wrong lenses used, makes the headset useless
nice idea to have it made from foam, clips together nicely.Wait, I can not focus with it! the phone has to be moved farther from the lenses. Why? these are 12 Diopter lenses, I measured them with a Bausch and Lomb and a Humphrey lensometer. That gives them a focal length of 1000mm/12 = 83mm. They are advertised as 56mm focal length. That would be 1000mm/56 = 18 Diopters.Google specifications are for 45mm, or 22 diopter.the lenses are 64 mm from the back of the box, the suction cups take away a couple of mm and a cell phone is around 10mm thick. So what does this mean? 83mm - 56mm = 27mm, 25.4mm = 1 inch. if you move the cell phone another inch away, it is in focus.Even if they had used 18D lenses, the gadget would work. I stacked 6D thin glass lenses and the screen was in focus. So, as it is, it is useless landfill.

Wrong lenses used, and no NFC chip included, and button doesn't work, so it's pretty much all bad.
The wrong lenses were used, or the box is too short, so as-is these are useless. Only after some heavy modding was I able to use it with my OnePlus One. I had to basically stack cardboard and tape it to the front so it would push my phone farther away from my face. Only then would the image come into focus. But the added distance makes it impossible to close the front flap around the phone, so I had to rig some velcro to keep it closed. It is also too far away for the "button" on the side to work, so that's useless too.It is a pretty tight fit, so the box itself started falling apart. I ended up running a bead of hot glue around the entire thing to keep it together. And with this thing pressed against my face, I couldn't breath through my nose, so I ended up cutting the nose part a little bigger...and I do not have a large nose at all.Lastly, mine didn't come with the NFC chip, and I double checked everything.I would have given this thing one star, but it is pretty cheap. I'm just lucky I had all the stuff I needed to mod it and an extra hour or so to work on it.

Magnet wasn't responsive with device. I ended up switching it out for one that I had gotten when trying to make my own unit and it works great. The head band/strap isn't very sturdy either, I'll probably end up replacing that soon as well. Otherwise the shell is great and works exactly as expected.

nice soft foam headset
Ordered with my fingers crossed as a gift for my partner's birthday, since there weren't many reviews of this yet.Overall, not a bad product! It came fully assembled and, for some reason, packaged with a translucent pink silicon iPhone 6 4.7" case. (Guess we'll need to find someone to give that too.)It's constructed basically of what I would call craft foam, so unlike the reviews of some plastic "cardboards" this is perfectly comfortable on the face. It should last longer than actual cardboard, of course, so that seems worth the extra couple dollars. My partner uses it with a Galaxy S5 phone, which fits pretty well. It can squeeze in with a slim hard side case on, but is easier to fit without. The straps seem a little wonky, so my partner has mostly just held it to his face. With the S5 out of it's case this can sometimes lead to accidental button presses. The lenses work but there was a little bit of something like tape residue on one of them. The magnetic switch seems to work, but sometimes needs to be pressed in a bit in addition to being slid down in order to trigger. The NFC chip seems to work so far, but as of this writing it only seems to launch the cardboard app - not necessarily opening into the mode where it can be used in this headset. Be careful not to throw it out or crumple it when you unbox - it basically just looks like a little white tag.
