Anyone have been used in door panel? Ist still sound good with open air box?

Yes, I used mine in the door panels of my 1999 F250 Super Duty Diesel.  I did have to make some custom mounting plates because no holes lined up etc and I put dampening spray and dampening foam on all of the panels that I could reach, I also sealed up as many holes as I could and to make any path for the sound (air pressure) as long as possible so that the sound  (air pressure) didn't just rush from the back of the speaker to the front of the speaker and never really make it to my ears. In other words to make the "speaker box" (My doors in this case) conform as much as possible to basic speaker box design rules.  I can say that it is not perfect but it is mighty fine!!!  These speakers Kick if you do it right.  My truck definitely sounds better (Good, strong, solid base) and sounds much better that many of my buddies with sub-woofer boxes that take up 50% of the usable space in their trucks. Do it right and you will have a fantastic low end, you won't win any window rattling contests but just fantastic sound.   FYI, I paired mine up with CDT 6.5 inch component speakers in the front doors, with the tweeters mounted up in my panels that run up the side of the windshield and then added 5.5 inch full range CDT in the back door.  So both the front and back seats have great sound.   I Drive the system with a 6 channel 2,400 Watt amp.   I can crank it up and make your ears bleed before the system starts to distort.   The clarity/accuracy  and full range coverage of the CDT speakers just can't be explained, but in my experience from Blues to Classical and especially vocals...........nothing can touch them.  People get in my truck and I demo some different types of music, they look at each other  with shocked WTF stares/what is happening here dropped jaws and then start grilling me on where all the speakers are and how I made it happen.  NO I don't sell them or get any compensation, it just is what it is.

What is the impedance of each voice coil? They are offered in dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm. I need dual 2 ohm. Thanks.
