Tangent Spectrum BT X5 Bluetooth Active Speakers - Black

Excellent speakers and made to a good standard. Work great with my project deck and cd. Not able to Bluetooth echo dot with the speakers but as these speakers are designed to play high quality records or cd it would be a shame to spoil the quality on downloaded tunes. Also attached a Yamaha subwoofer for extra base giving it a much higher rich bass sound. The speakers are in white and Ouse quaility. Plenty of connection points allowing all separates an individual point of connection. That includes aux 1 phono, aux 2 3.5 jack, coax, optical and Bluetooth. Makes a change to have more choice other than just line in or out. Sound quality is very rich and more than loud enough for a standard living room. Following some good advice from a kind Amazon user you can pair the speakers with Echo or echo dot. You need to go to the Alexa page in your browser (https://alexa.amazon.co.uk) and under Settings choose the Echo Dot device then Bluetooth and Pair a new device. The speaker must be on and in pairing mode, it should show up on the listed devices, you can then select it. BTW it should be placed close to the echo dot while setting it up. This works a treat.

They're great speakers and I love the looks and the feature set. Only problem was the dead remote. As soon as I put the batteries in (ironically enough, directly over the little sticker stating "QC Passed") I got nothing, and then the little unit got really, really hot. Bit of Googling diagnosed a short, upon which I noticed that the plates at one end of the battery compartment seemed to be a bit too close together. Quite a simple task to pop open the unit with the tip of a screwdriver and adjust the two flimsy metal plates so they weren't touching, after which it worked just fine, but hardly ideal for £300 speakers. Remote is flimsy and cheap feeling, inside and out, and in my case potentially quite dangerous. *Update* Eventually paired these with a Yamaha YSTFSW050 Sub-woofer (for which I paid the ridiculously low price of £90) and the sound got even better. Really rounded out the tone and added depth. Love this basic 2.1 set up.

Lots of inputs so you can connect anything from a turntable with a pre-amp, sonos connect 90, tv with a optical output, bluetooth and cd player. Burn-in time approx 30 hours. I love also the bass and treble control. My only criticism is that you can only turn the speakers on/off with the remote control. Suites small to medium size room, for large rooms i would suggest the audioengine hd6.

Bin sehr froh das ich diese Lautsprecher gefunden habe, denn der Plan war den riesigen Verstärker und die Großen Standlautsprecher zu ersetzen, die Tangens Verfügen über ausreichend Anschlüsse um alle Relevanten Geräte anzuschließen: TV über Toslink, Sat Receiver als Mediaplayer über digital Koax, Handy o. IPod über Bluetooth usw. Zugegeben sie haben nicht die differenzierte Auflösung und glasklaren Sound wie die Großen Standlautsprecher aber Musik kommt trotz der Größe mit ordentlich Bass und ist sehr Präzise. Als Zusatzlautsprecher für den Flachbildfernseher sind sie Super! Und allemal besser als ein Soundbar. Verarbeitung und Qualität sind Top, sehr hochwertig, die Gitter sind stabil und schützen gut vor sechs kleinen Kinderhänden, die Fernbedienung hat Ihren Namen auch verdient, aber ohne macht man an den Lautsprechern nichts, deshalb und wegen der etwas schwachen Höhen ein Stern Abzug

Die Lautsprecher sind in ihrer Preisklasse wirklich unschlagbar. Der Klang für aktiv Monitore in der 500 Euro Presklasse hat mich doch sehr überrascht, die LS haben eine gute und detaillierte Auflösung, der Bass ist sehr preziese und trocken. Alles in allem ein top Lautsprecherpaar, kann ich sehr weiter empfehlen.
