Powerful Purification

Beautiful Portable Air Purifier
I really like this beautiful portable air cleaner. It's arrived in a well packaged box, and looks very professional. This product is well designed and easy to operate. It has three speeds mode (low, medium, and high), and works in very quiet way. Even on high speed mode, it exchanges a lot of air, but the noise level is still reasonable. The small size of this product makes it easier to be setup in any corner. This air purifier is so powerful and can remove the cook smell or smoke in my whole living room with high efficiency, therefore we don't need to move our new born baby into the bedroom whenever we are cooking. It will be amazing if we had this great product in last year's serious wild fire.

stands up to nightly use in a furry, dusty, dander filled bed room
This air purifier takes care of rooms up to 182 square feet. I have been currently trying it out in our bedroom, which is a little smaller than that. We had purchased an air purifier for the bedroom, and liked it so much that I went and got another, of a different brand to use in elsewhere in the house. But since I wanted to see how it compared to current one in our bedroom, and review it, I have been using it there for the past few weeks. It is very simple in design. A rounded rectangle tower, measuring 8.3 x 8.4 x 12.5 inches. 3 sides have air intake holes. 1 side has settings. Topside pushes out air. Bottom side has access to filter. The fan settings are just a physical switch that you flip to high, medium, or low- which is sleep mode. High has a wonderfully loud but soothing white noise fan sound, and lesser settings produce less sound. It is a clean, fan sound. No lights to be bothered by, which is nice. We've had ours running on high for 8 hours or so each night. It probably doesn't need to be on high, but we like the fan sound at that setting. Our bedroom contains to people and two large dogs, with a door that is shut all the time. I don't always keep up with dusting and vacuuming, so the room gets full of dust, dander, and fur as we sleep. I have noticed that since using an air purifier (this one, or the other one we originally bought), that the room smells clean. I really wasn't sure how to tell if the purifier was working or not. Taking a look at the filter hasn't helped because somehow it is still pretty clean looking. But not waking up super congested, and not smelling an off odor in the room all the time tells me that it is doing something. I will likely put this somewhere else in my house now that I have been able to make a good comparison to our other one. Our other one has more bells and whistles, so to speak (timers, night lights, additional fan settings, filter change indicator, etc- but more expensive- but works similarly). We will probably relocate this one to the most family room where we usually hang out--our 2 large labs, 4 cats, and my husband and I spend a bit of time each day. It is a furry household!!

A good budget purifier for a small location
My wife has been bugging me to get an air purifier for a long time, but I've been put off by two things:1) We leave our windows open 350 days a year in our small apt in an urban area in SF2) Air purifiers are SO FREAKIN' EXPENSIVE!After explaining multiple times to my wife that I'm not interested in trying to purify all the air in SF, or the world, she finally acquiesced that she'd be willing to keep the windows closed, at least most of the time. So that put the ball back in my court as I had run out of excuses (unfortunately, expense is not a valid excuse for my wife). So I did a bunch of reading on the internet - wirecutter, quora etc. And I found that basically there is no reason for air purifiers to be expensive - a guy even made a really good one out of a box fan and a HEPA filter.I sent that article to my wife and she responded "No. Jordan, NO. Absolutely not, don't even think about it." So while I wasn't going to be able to take the ultra cheap route, I was armed with the knowledge that air purifiers don't need to be expensive, they just need a decent filter and need to make a good seal.Enter this Keenpure purifier. I saw this while browsing on Amazon, and thought it seemed like a good compromise. Not much more expensive than if I tried to make it myself, and small and compact so it wouldn't take up too much space in our small apartment. Two days later I opened the box and was really happy to see that the build quality was good. The unit is actually attractive, much more attractive than a box fan monstrosity I would have made. And when I disassembled it, I could easily see the unit is built well with a good filter and a very high quality (albeit simple) sealing ring system to ensure the fan's energy is spent pulling air through the filter, and not around it.We used it for a week. The noise level is totally acceptable, not more than a normal fan on high, certainly less noisy than my range hood fan in the kitchen. It moves a decent amount of air. After a day I checked the filter and it looked fine, which I'd expect for a filter that lasts 6mo-1yr. I noticed quite a lot of small fibers / dust trapped by the outer screen, which confirmed that living in a big city near a main thoroughfare means our air is dirty. But it just happened to be one of the hottest weeks we've had this year in SF, and it really sucked having the windows closed. We went back to open windows and dirty air, and we'll keep this to "deodorize" the kitchen after cooking meals that smell up the place.Ultimately, this air purifier gets 5 stars from me based on it's own merit. But I would be lying if I didn't admit that I'm specifically happy that I got off so cheaply on this "we're not really air purifier people" lesson.

I Love This!!
I was previously skeptical about whether ANY air purifier would make a difference in air quality, but I decided to give it a try because I have lung disease and cleaner air is always a good idea. I live in a basement apartment and it can sometimes make the air feel heavy or very "earthy". I purchased this unit and was surprised by the immediate difference it made! It's probably about the size of a mid-century audio speaker. It's not loud, but it does emit a kind of white noise which isn't overpowering. Think "wooshing sound of fast water" only with air. Once it's turned on it takes roughly an hour to noticeably change the air quality. It's lightweight and easy to move. I use it in every room of the house. It's worth the money.
