A Virgin for St. Tropez {First U.S. Release} [DVD]

The DVD arrived quickly, and it played well. That was very good. And the girl subject of the film was cute. The movie itself was bad - most of the acting was horrible (especially the deadpan group scenes were unbelievably contrived and wooden). I bought this because I read somewhere that Jesus Franco (a sexploitation director) had directed most of this, but I had to conclude he did not. MODERATING FACTOR: I found the scenes in 70s St. Tropez and environs, the bizarre hippy fashions, and odd 70s dialog of that time reminded me of things I had forgotten. I doubt I'd ever watch it again, and that's okay by me as it wasn't too expensive.

This is possibly the worst film ever made. Fortunately, the screenplay is only slightly better than the ridiculously bad acting and casting. The parked cars turned in the most persuasive performance. The most sincere scene was one of waves breaking on the sand beach, no actors just the waves. This movie can either cure or create diarrhea - depending upon what you had when you sat down to watch it.
