Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I like the fact that this light uses 12V DC power adapter,therefore the cord from the receptacle to the lamp base is low voltage DC power which is very safe for kids room.The power adapter is rated at 12V 0.5A ~ 1A.According to my "Kill-a-watt" meter, the max power consumption is only 6.3 watts at maximum brightness.And it only consumes 0.3 Watts when the light is turned off, due to the standing by infra receiver for remote control capability.If we leave the light on 10 hours a day at max brightness, the power consumption is63W X 365 = 23 kilowatts a year, which is about $3.5 electricity.It is also stable thanks to the heavy base and not too tall, making it a great personal light when reading in sofa.The only complain I have is the installation process, it may take a few tries to get the lamp correctly installed in the base. And the plastic wrapper is very annoying and difficult to remove. I suggest the manufacture stop using them.

I use this lamp at my home office work desk. It has great light which I can focus exactly where needed. It's very easy to use and I love the remote. The one disappointment is it is NOT steady on either a hardwood floor or carpet. It rocks back and forth and is not heavily weighted as promised. It is unsteady and might be bit dangerous -- may not be good for households with small children or pets.

My husband and I love Touch Lamps - they're quiet, easily put on, made brighter, and off - no effort, no chance of tipping a lamp over from 'trying to reach up for the lamp switch under a lamp shade', or making a long-stretch from lying in bed to the light switch high up on a lamp... they're just the greatest invention!! - just the ones I wanted! Thank you.

Remote did not work. Seller did nor respond to my request for another remote. The light was fine

Ricieved this lamp 10 days ago. a great lamp for a study table. it is very flexible to change the direction of light. even the remote is very helpful to operate it from the distance.different mode for lights add addtional adva tage for this lamp

I am very good about reading instructions, but as many times I read about putting the base on, it didn't work. When I tried to do it, it broke. I wound up super gluing it.

I bought it for puzzle table and it helps a lot.

This is really useful lamp, and energy saver, really nice they have many different modes I can set on especially for college students, I love it
