This will fit in a large suitcase for business travel
As a traveling consultant, it's difficult to always have access to a sit/stand desk setup. Often I work 10hr days at a computer and sitting has wrecked my lower back. I finally decided to take control and bought this to travel with, and it has saved my back. No combination of seat cushions can reduce the aggravation on your back than to stand often in your work. So I'm going to list the PROs and CONS if you are considering the same.PROs-Very sturdy, could handle a very large Dell 38" monitor. No wiggle to it.-The top is all metal - this thing will last for generations.-Easy to raise and lower with the 38" monitor, it has a strong spring - hope it lasts for generations.-Very low profile when lowered, It's less than an inch.-It actually fit in my suitcase, not flat against the bottom but with a slight angle between clothes it fits in my standard large suitcase.CONs:-says it's 12 pounds, I think it's closer to 18 pounds. To me 4 pounds makes a different when packing a suitcase.-The latch to hold it closed is flimsy and doesn't really hold - carry a strap to keep it closed for travel.-Using an Allan Wrench to set a open height is awkward. It works, once it's set it's fine. Don't loose the wrench, I'm very gentle to make sure the little wrench pad at the bottom of the unit stays attached.-It's not as easy to raise and lower as other sit/stand desks. What it has in portability it gives up on ease of use. It definitely lowers my desire to sit/stand often and tend to stand more than sit.-The latch design to hold it up in place is a bit awkward to use. I find I have one hand holding the top up, while using the other hand to flip the latch over. The strong spring keeps it safe so it's not hard to hold it up, but still it's awkward.Overall my back is very happy, the last 2 weeks I worked 107 hrs on a computer and my pain level is only at a 2 out of 10. So for the portability, it fits in my suitcase, and I don't need ADA permissions to use it. It's a 5 star. When I get home, I'll put in more exact spec on dimensions and weight. In case you were wondering about that 38" monitor. Surprised me when I was assigned my workstation which includes the monitor, laptop and keyboard. I also bought a mini laptop riser with mouse pad extension, and put the keyboard and mouse on that. It took this configuration to use both, which again complicated wanting to raise and lower multiple times during the day.

A sturdy, compact all-metal riser for laptops
I had a VariDesk Pro Plus 36 for years at my last job, liked it and definitely benefitted from standing for part of each day. The problem with these kind of standing desk converters is that the work surfaces are made from particle board covered with laminate. This makes for a solid, furniture-like design that can support multiple monitors, peripherals, etc., which may be needed in certain situations. They require a lot of desk space, in terms of both width and depth, and they also tend to have a separate riser section to lift monitors off the desk surface. My current work surface is only 20" deep, more like a console table than a traditional desk. So I needed something much more compact. The TSFUR arrives fully assembled, in a very slim box. It's an all-metal design with a matte, powder-coated finish, much heavier than I expected (in a good way). The rising mechanism is well machined and operates smoothly. The matte finish eliminates any issues with fingerprints, but it does tend to attract scuffs and dust over time. Unlike particle board risers, in it's fully-lowered state it disappears into a discreet metal slab less than 1" off the table surface, looking more like a desk blotter than a riser. It's heavy, but still light enough to take off the desk and store off to the side, for those times that I want to sit and work normally. It's most appropriate for laptops or tablets; although it might be strong enough to support a monitor, it would end up about 2" from your nose, and you'd have to position your keyboard awkwardly and turn your head. So it's basically for laptops. One last detail: the height adjustment is set somewhat awkwardly, using a small clip that needs to be tightened with an alan wrench. So if you're expecting to be able to shift to any height you desire, on the fly, you might be disappointed. You basically have two heights to work with: 1) completely down, on the table, and, 2) whichever other height you pick within it's range, set with the alan wrench.

Good product at a decent price.
Pros:1. Height adjustment is not at set increments so you can really adjust to the height you want.2. Once you have the height you want, you lock it into place so it is easy to raise to the same height every time.3. The product is sturdy.Cons:1. Even though the product has an attached wrench to adjust the height setting, when I took the wrench out of the holder, the holder came off because it is only attached with a sticker - equivalent to a strong double sided tape.2. If more than one person uses the product, you will have to readjust the stopper that stops at the height you choose. Not a big deal for me as I am the only person that uses it.Overall:Good product for a decent price. I would recommend it.

Perfect for work
Sitting all day at work was bothering my knees, hips and back. Then I started gaining weight, and got 3 blood clots in my leg. I needed to stand more, and this desk riser was the perfect solution! It's small enough to hold just my keyboard and mouse. My monitors are attached to my work desk, but are adjustable. So I just lift everything up a few times a day, and take a break from sitting. This item makes no sound when raised and lowered, and can be locked to just the right height. I saved the Amazon link to my computer desktop because everyone I work with has asked about it. It's the most useful thing I've bought in a long time. I love it!

very sturdy, practical, cannot recommend it enough!
This product is very well built, and is adjustable so that you are able to set it at the perfect height for typing. IT is easily lifted up and pressed down. I say this , having had back difficulties that would not allow me to use it if it were in any way hard to maneuver. This has been a blessing and a real life-saver, in that I can now keep moving while still working. I work long hours on the computer, and the sedentary state that brought was terrible. Now I can stand and march in place while still getting work done. I love this product.
