So far they're proving pretty decent. They look nice but the edges could be done a little neater as there are some loose threads and sewn edges showing out off to the side from the bottom of the mat.

"Wide Slat Bamboo - White - Black Border" is exactly as pictured. Had been confused by answers from vendor in Q&As to believe slats were more narrow and backing was cloth. Backing is very insubstantial and would not protect the wood finish on our table. Finish is not as indicated, either -- spotty in places, not smooth. This was the case in all 3 sets we received. Returning.

These bamboo placemats are gorgeous, they don't disappoint! Nice sturdy quality and they look exactly as shown. The black fabrics trim adds a nice touch that offsets our black kitchen appliances, and the light bamboo goes well with any dinnerware set. So glad I took the chance!

Great placemats. Has a very thin mesh on the back so the wood isn't scratching the table up and it's a great color, very consistent throughout all four mats

I was sent the wrong color. I wanted the light wood ones and was sent the darker ones. I kept them since they technically still match my decor and I hate returning things.

I wanted 8 placemats so I ordered two sets - they did not match. So I ordered another set - it did not match. Now I have three sets of 4 and they do not match. The color of dark brown seems like it should be ok - but, one was not sealed, one is very dark and one is a medium brown - very frustrating-as they would work very nicely if any of the sets had been even close to the same color of finish.
