Hallucinogenic Plants Mass Market Paperback – May 31, 2021

As happy as I was to see this little gem back in print I am disappointed in it's execution. The book is in a much larger format than the original paperback, about twice as big,and it's bigger than the original hardcover too. I like the format and it feels good in my hands but opening the book was a BIG disappointment, The text and images have obviously been scanned and enlarged to fit. The text is not sharp at all and is in fact distractingly fuzzy. Images too. To add insult to injury the text and images are not even in register on the pages. It's offset too low so there is a large margin at the top and some of the images and text are cut off at the bottom. To cap things off only one page of the index has been reproduced, but no matter since they deleted the page numbers anyway. (!)I love the book but this reprint doesn't do it justice.There are six reviews at the moment indicating the disappointment of the reviewers and if you buy one of these reprints you will be disappointed too.

The version I received appears to be a knock-off or bootleg but still has great information & illustrations.

This Golden Guide is Hallucinogenic Plants is an odd book. It’s not an original edition and nor is it a reprint. It's a rip off. It's photo copied, printed and bound. There’s no copyright or printing history. While it’s a larger format, the bottom of the pages are cut off so there are no page numbers and the last of some pictures are clipped. The text is slightly blurry and there's only half an index as well.While it is a complete copy, it's not a legitimate one.

I was excited to get my little book since I collect them, but when this one arrived I was surprised. The cover was lovely, but the pages inside were SO disappointing. It's an enlarged photocopy of the original, blown out, blurry, pixelated pages. It seems like a total ripoff. DON'T BUY THIS BOOK. You'll feel like your eyes can't focus and it will give you a headache.

The text was so blurry as to be uncomfortable to read. As interesting as it may be I don't feel the quality was worth the price.

I thought based on the price and description that this would be a used copy of this Golden Guide to complete my collection. Instead it’s a bad print off a low quality PDF. Extremely grainy images and text.

This is a terrible copy and not a genuine edition! I suspect it has been photocopied and poorly at that- No page numbers, the text was incredibly blurry, the pages themselves printed wonky and off kilter, most of the image pages had text missing from the bottom/side parts.

This book thoroughly explores the history of hallucinogens and is legitimately a worthwhile read for anyone interested in the topic, however the mass-market paperback version just isn’t worth the money. It is a poorly scanned and reprinted version of the original book. All of the text, illustrations, and diagrams are blurred, sometimes even cut off, the page numbers are missing, the spine is completely blank, some of the pages weren’t separated properly, and one of the pages was printed twice, replacing a whole page of information on Arbol de los Brujos.

Il ne s'agit pas de la publication commerciale originale du livre, mais d'une pâle copie, de très mauvaise qualité (textes et illustrations flous, coupés sur certaines pages...). J'aurais dû faire plus attention aux commentaires déjà postés...
