Spend some time with some good friends
As I mentioned earlier this year when Forever with You (the first book in Robin Jones Gunn’s Christy & Todd: the Married Years series) was released, I grew up with Todd and Christy. I walked their relationship with them through the Christy Miller, Sierra Jensen, and Katie Weldon series. I started one of my nieces on the Christy Miller series a few years ago and another one received the first two books when I visited this summer (they’re both getting more for Christmas–good thing they don’t read my blog) :). So I am so happy to be spending even more time with Christy and Todd Spencer as they navigate the trials and tribulations of adulthood and marriage. There’s lots of joy in there as well.I didn’t stay up all night reading this one like I did the last one–but I did finish it on this lazy Saturday. What a fun way to spend the day–visiting old friends. This book was centered on Todd, Christy, Katie, and Eli but Doug and Tracy also make a couple of appearances. Most books end with an engagement or a wedding so it’s fun to be able to walk beyond that with Todd and Christy–to see some of the things Christy really struggles with in her marriage and how her faith in God as well as her husband and her friends help her overcome those same struggles. Another thing Gunn highlights well (without going into too much detail) is the sanctity of waiting until marriage to come together–how waiting makes everything sweet and a special gift for a husband and wife on their married life.Gunn has been a master of creating catch phrases throughout the Christy Miller books and she doesn’t stop. Home of our hearts is sure to be added to peculiar treasures, God thing, may it be so, and more.

It's si good!
I love this book, I wanted to keep reading! If you haven't read the first book, you might want to. this book builds after that one. If you want to start from the beginning of the Todd and Christy stories, then start with the christy miller series. Then read the Todd and christy college years series. Then you'll be ready. But to know all the stories of all the characters, also read the song of the canaries (about Todd's dad and Caroline's story) and Katie Weldon series. Then you'll really be ready.I have most of Robin Jones Gunn's books and I have loved everything one of them (my bookshelf reflects it). You will not regret reading her books! If you are looking for another series that's more towards mid 20's young adults, I'd suggest the Glenbrooke series. One of my favorites.

Another Gem from Robin Jones Gunn
This book was phenomenal! I have loved growing up with Christy and the gang, and I anxiously awaited the newest book in this series. Robin Jones Gunn did not disappoint with this book. I stayed up way too late finishing this book. I loved how this book incorporated so many important pieces we have read about in the past in Christy and Todd's lives -Doug and Tracy and their beach days, their relationship with Bob and Marti, Christy's parents, Todd's dad in the Canary Islands, and last but not least Katie and Eli in Africa. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to find out what's next for Christy and Todd.

I love getting to feel like I am doing life with ...
The characters in this series (and in all the previous books about them) are so real and genuine! I love getting to feel like I am doing life with them! I love how Robin takes the characters through phases of life and I love getting to learn lessons and grow spiritually with them. These books will challenge your faith and your walk with Christ! They will challenge you to love God more.I highly recommend.

Amazing!!!
I chose this rating, because I feel so close to these characters it's not even funny!! And I like how you think you know what's about to happen..and just when it is, Mrs. Robin changes it up on us! LOL! I recommend this book to all women, old and young, because when you read these books, it lifts your spirit, and faith in God..And this whole Christy Miller/Katie Weldon journey has applied to my life in many many ways. And I am very thankful for that...Keep writing Mrs. Robin! God bless you and yours!

bringing old friends home
Tears, laughter, and grace - all gifts given from old, dear friends. Blessings and lessons are scattered throughout the story as they usually are, and wisdom blooms from so many pages. This book is all about coming home - emotionally and spiritually. And it's quite the homecoming! Christy, Todd, Katie, and Eli have all grown into amazing God-lovers, and this book is nothing short of a celebration of these peculiar treasures.I read this book in an evening, and I'm ready to read it again - to absorb more, "from the stomach up."
