Voltage Regulator

Good regulator. Fixed my problem
First, the product you’ll receive looks nothing like the picture. It’s a Beru 90160320602. It has a metal case that’s taped together like the rest of them.Installed this on my 77’ bus to replace my old mechanical regulator. It mounted right up with no problem and corrected a low voltage charging condition I was having. Puts out a nice even 14.3 volts.

Quality Voltage Regulator, works as expected
I ordered this after experiencing some issues with my 1979 VW Bus (stalling while driving, but then starting back up and running fine after a few minutes). After a bit of troubleshooting, it came down to either 1) a bad alternator, or 2) a bad voltage regulator. So I started with the lesser (read: cheaper) of two evils, and this VR worked like a charm. I've had this on my bus for a few months now, and I've not had a single problem.A note about this order: The voltage regulator I received did not look like the one pictured (it was not red/black, nor was it square). The one I received actually looked more like the original style (aluminum cover, rounded to corners, and a strip of tape around the middle), which honestly, I prefer.Regardless, it still worked exactly as I needed. The wire connections were in the same locations as the original equipment and fit well. I'd buy it again.

Not as picture, made in China, but works just fine.
Works fine for my 77 VW Bus. Item delivered is from Beru and made in China. Picture is not accurate. The actual product is silver and more classic looking like the part it replaces.
