Garfield: 20 Stories

The totally self possessed lout of a tubby tabby was a joy to read. Not quite as lovable as Peanuts or weird like The Far Side , Garfield was a unique character in cartoons. The humor is clean and dry without any meanness. Just a languid disdain for the friendly empty headed dog he shares the house with and a perpetual love affair with lasagna. He made laziness an art form and passivity a career. He graduated from news paper strips to TV star and is fondly remembered by many. This is a fun collection and could be a primmer for the uninitiated. I smile just thinking about him.
