This record needs little introduction, so ours will be brief: produced by Joan Jett, (GI) is a seminal album not just in West Coast punk, but in punk rock, period, wellspring of the Darby Crash legend and start of the illustrious career of Pat Smear (Nirvana, Foo Fighters). Astonishingly, this album has been out of print on CD for years; our Real Gone reissue adds an unreleased bonus track selected by Pat Smear himself the original album mix of "Caught in My Eye" from the (GI) sessions and places the platter inside a 4-panel wallet featuring the original album graphics (including lyrics) with additional photos by noted punk scene photographer Jenny Lens and new liner notes by Richie Unterberger that feature fresh quotes from drummer Don Bolles. Your record collection isn't one without the Germs.

Simply Perfect Punk Rock Album
Perfect... One of those classic punk albums with excellent songs from first to last!I love the drums very speedy for the time and the atmosphere this band creates somewhere between the Sex Pistols,The Runaways and Siouxie and the Banshees or Joy Division ... I just love it... Unique addition to your musiccollection... The pictures are very well printed in the CD version... it also has the lyrics and the design anyway if itssimple... Its very beautiful and original!..Well the CD skipped and did not play well the first time i put it on but the second time it played pretty good so well!!Thanks... I guess my cd player was a little dirty!!! But well anyway its a great record and the CD BONUS TRACK is a killerthat is not included on the MP3!!! So my angry face was turned into a smile in a second!!!

Not a bad album- Worth a look
The guitar and drums make all the songs here sound decent. However my favorites are "What we do is secret", Richie Dagger's Crime" - I love that one- "American Leather" and "We must Bleed" Almost all songs are around 2:00 or less. The last one "Shut Down (Anihilation Man)" is over 9:30. Peruse the album as you might find a couple you like.

My favorite punk album
This has got to be one of the best punk albums ever and having it on Vinyl is even better. When I was younger most of my punk music was on vinyl or on a cassette recorded from vinyl, so this definitely sparks some nostalgia along with just the pure awesome. As with most punk music though, the songs tend to be pretty short. Trying to place the needle on a specific song is kind of a pain in the butt, but I don't really care because i usually listen to a whole side at once. I would totally recommend this to any punk lovers.

Great album by an influential punk band
Fans of hardcore punk or punk in general should definitely check this out. The music on here is amazing. Always loved the Germs since I first heard their music, so I recommend others check them out too. Concerning the physical product, the disc and digipak were both in good condition.

The Germs. Eh...
Overrated LA punk band, better known for their shows rather than by their sound, managed to eek out this session for Slash before Darby Crash crashed and catapulted this disc into legendary status. A couple okay tracks here and there, but compared to LA's best, the Weirdos, this is Rotary Club amateur hour. Save your 🍞...

Punq Rokk At It's Finest!
I had heard plenty of stories about the Germs when I finally ordered this, but I never expected the delivery guy and I to start moshing and beating the crap out of each other the second I opened it.

Five Stars
Darby wrote some amazing lyrics, but you have to look at the lyric sheet to find that out.

If only Derby Crash had lived these guys would have been huge.

Leggendario
Un classico, un ultra classico per chi ama il Punk. Innovativo, assolutamente moderno nella sonorità. Visionario e tecnicamente importante, ma chi ama il genere questo lo sa benissimo

heavy weight punk
An absolute classic, repressed on full weight vinyl too. Even 30 years on the Germs are still one of the mostPowerful and evocative bands to have ever played.
