For size reference I am 5'5, 260 lbs (very pear shaped and bottom heavy - I have more hips, legs, and booty than I know what to do with), xl tops/t-shirts, 18/20 jeans, and 40D bra size. A lot of plus size girls have the advantage of being taller and having more shapely legs - mine are just flat out ugly. Typically, when trying on leggings, they always tend to cling to the worst parts of my legs instead of helping to shape them up. Years ago, I had bought the Flexees Shaping Leggings by Maidenform at Walmart and I LOVED them, but they were discontinued some time ago and my old pairs are really starting to show their age and be totally inappropriate to wear in front of anyone. I recently bought some leggings from Old Navy and while they are pretty decent, they still don't hold me in the way my old ones do. I decided to try finding some here on Amazon, which was a task in itself...I can't tell you how many pages of leggings I searched through and how many reviews I read.I saw the BubbleLime brand and they had good reviews, so I decided to try them out. Based on the size chart and reviews I went ahead and ordered an XXL in the Capri. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on... leggings that actually shape my legs!! They were even a little big in the midsection, so instead of returning them I gave them to my mom (she has more shapely legs, but more of a belly than I do.. so ladies if you think they wont work because you have a belly, they totally will!!). I have since ordered the XL in both the capri and the full length and I love them! The material is just what I was looking for. They are so comfortable even being compression pants they dont make you feel like you're suffocating and cant breath like wearing spanx, all while still holding in all the jiggle and smoothing out the lumps and bumps. Even more of a bonus - they are NOT see-thru, so I can confidently wear these as much as I want without fearing how much of a show I'm giving people. I also love the high waist for holding in my little side muffins and helping to slim my figure.Ladies of all shapes and sizes... these are great!! The color is gorgeous, and the cut is a true high waist (i.e. above the belly button by several inches). Even though these are ankle length, you can pull them up a bit to make them look like mid capris without the fabric bunching up. So if you're debating between the capris and these. Get these - it's like a twofer :). I would also recommend sizing 'down'. I'm a size 12 jeans and pants in Athleta with most of my weight in my thighs, hips, belly. The medium in these pants is perfectly comfortable - not tight at all. If you're looking at other leggings online (like I was), I think what makes these pants look more high end than others is the fabric (Nylon and Spandex). Other brands are poly/nylon or the dreaded cotton/spandex (yuck). These also smooth out any lumps and jiggly bumps!
