Toast Living - Casa Aroma Genie - Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser (White)

Pros:Easy to open, fill and cleanGreat design; looks niceDecent output; Great for a room 175 square feet or so (large bedroom, small living room)Cons:Output could be better; I have a large open living, dining, kitchen area. Doesn't really do the job in a 400-500 square foot spaceOnly runs for 3 hours full time on or 7 on-off in 30 second intervals stops running even if half fullOverall a decent unit but nothing like the first generation one I got from Brookstone years back. Miss that diffuser. All of them fall short. This is my third one after that. The others sucked. This one is at least decent.

I have the lotus and the aroma ace - so I have something to compare this to. I bought it, because I wanted something water based, that would run more than just 1 hour. I was surprised whenever I received it, because it was so well made. The top part looks like plastic, but it is not - it is a heavy stone-like material - the inner parts are made of plastic, but all diffusers that I came across are made that way.It distributes the aroma in the room very nicely and you also have the option to let it run with the night light or you can turn it off.It is also very quite, which I cannot say about the aroma ace. I just hear a little water trickling here and there and that is actually quite soothing. It is easy to clean as well, which is a big plus!I bought both the black and the white one because I just fell in love ;)The only part that I do not like is where the plug goes in.. you have to have light to be able to find the tiny socket on the bottom of the diffuser.. would have been nice, if it plugged in on the back instead, but that is really the only downfall that I can see. And might not bother anyone else.You definitely won't go wrong with this purchase.

Despite being quite excited to try this highly recommended diffuser, I can't really comment on its ability to diffuse given mine arrives SANS water stopper and, since I hadn't yet used it, I thought it best not to try the first go around without it.Does anyone know if it's ok to use sans the water stopper or how Toast's customer service is about these things. I know Vitamix and such companies go above and beyond to ameliorate glitches in distribution...hopefully Toast might prove the same...?Either way, insight about the water stopper is much appreciated.UPDATE 1/8/15: After sourcing a water stopper elsewhere (thanks seller for not caring to assist or suggest places ot find such things!) and steadily using the diffuser (with all different oils and on the various settings), I have to say this is a huge disappointment.Unless you stand over the diffuser, the aroma is hardly noticeable. I live in a petite manhattan studio--so don't believe the reviews that the diffuser will cover larger spaces (unless you have a few). Further, the diffuser seems to turn off by itself after very short intervals--even when I put it on the continuous mode it will self-turn off without diffusing much vapor.Also, it doesn't hold that much water to vaporize.I don't have a ton of experience with diffusers; but the less expensive ones I've had diffuse just as well if not better than this one in which I had, had high hopes.Le sigh....

In the past had a house fire and refuse to have any open flame aromas in our home. Missing that I tired the Casa Aroma Genie and we are all very pleased. Attractive, quiet, gentle fume like mist permeates the entire kitchen open family room area and hall. Only down side is being ceramic you need to be careful with where you place it if you have young children or animals that like to "check things out" :-) Love it and looking forward to enjoying it for years to come.

This item is really nice, I like the design and how easy it is to operate. I just wished it had like say 5 minute interval where it will intermittently spray. That's why I'm giving it just 4 stars. Great product overall.let's see how long it lasts.

I own a a day spa and I was looking for a cost effective aromatherapy solution. After trying several $50 diffusers that didn't work I decided to spend a little more money on this model. It was money well spent. This was the only one that effectively gave my entire spa a pleasant odor. If you're looking for a good deal you can find it cheaper on e bay. I recommend mixing several essential oils for the best effect. My favorites are lavender, peppermint and lemon grass.

This is a small unit with little output. The outside is nice , but the inside is plastic. My smaller plastic unit puts out twice the vapor.

This is my second diffuser and this product is amazing. It is so simple to set up and run great. My old diffuser began cutting itself off randomly and generally not working, but I've had this one for a few months now and it works great every time. I've had no problems what so ever. It can be a little tedious to clean because the water container isn't removable, but other than that it's perfect.
