It does exactly what it says it will. The only problem is getting the switch on the alarm to stay in the right place. The switch only moves about a half a millimeter and can be tricky to deal with. Also, the door MUST BE on track with the wall that has the magnet sensor on it. I have a very nontraditional home and it gave me some troubles. The alarm is very loud and would definitely be a deterrent for someone that is looking to break in.

does what it says on the box. the sticky element could be better as it dropped off a few times, there there is the option to screw it so all good now

They don't stay well with the enclosed sticky pads. They will fall and send off the alarm. I lived in an apartment and one fell while I was out and my neighbor came to me and was complaining that she could hear the noise going off for a long time. Disappointing but I'm sure you could find an alternate way to attach them better because they do a great job of alerting you to an open door/window.

Not exactly what I was looking for, however lt can be used on another project! I would recommend to friends as a safety item for security!

Of the 4 units: one does not chime or alarm at all, one triggers regardless of the position of the other piece. Both of those are useless. The switch on the 3rd unit does not want to move to "chime" (which is the desirable mode for me), however I can push the switch in-and-up to get it there. That unit is the 0.5 dud: it is viable, but my wife won't be able to use it easily. The fourth unit works correctly.I only need 1 unit to put on the balcony door of a cruise ship, assuming that door doesn't have a proper child lock. (It seems crazy, but we are going on MSC Divina and her cousin ship MSC Peosia did not a child lock on the balcony door.) In any case, I have 2 viable units so that is sufficient. For the price it is reasonable... unless you need/expect to get 4 working units. If you don't need 4, I would still buy the 4 pack which is currently 30% cheaper than the 2-pack.

I use these because you can not see them from outside when installed correctly. They work great. They are loud enough to wake you in the middle of the night. My kids hate them, because they can't go out the doors without hearing them. They work great for home security and for making sure teenagers don't try to sneak out their windows.

These Sonic Entry Wireless Audible Door and window Alarms didn't fit any window or door in my house.I sure they will work on newer houses were the facing is made different.
