Curved shower curtains are a great investment!
In buying my first house I found that my shower didn't have a rod or a curtain, so I couldn't wait to try out a curved shower rod. I had seen them many times before, there are many companies selling them now, and I thought they made so much sense. The only 2 down falls with this product (that I've found so far) are:1. The rod is a little loose in the fixtures that mount to the walls.2. The packaging could have been a little more substantial. Having said this, the product arrived in perfect condition.I've only bought this one curved rod so I can't compare it to others, but I'd recommend it, I've had no problems with it and it makes my shower feel much roomier than it really is.I'd highly recommend one of these to anyone whose shower uses a curtain! It was one of the cheapest and most fulfilling purchases I've made for my new house.

I installed the shower rod yesterday. The materials appear to be heavy duty. The endcaps are solid metal. I was worried during purchase they were painted plastic. It appears the mounting bolts are stainless steel.I did not need to cut the rod to size on a standard length bath tub. The rod has approx 2 inch of length adjustment within the mounting endcap.Fairly simple install for me. Some prior comments were about rust after install. I'll keep an eye on that now that it is installed. However my guess is that this will not be a problem. One thing to note, with the rod being asymmetrical all the weight is on one side. This will place all the weight on one side of the wall mounts. I was lucky & hit a wall stud on one side. This made the mount strong. On the other size I hit only sheet-rock. I used the included sheet-rock plugs. If I had more time, I probably would have preferred to use large wall anchors. If this end starts wobbling, I'll remove the sheet-rock plugs & use the anchors. It should not be visible under the cap.

Not As Described
I had previously purchased a Crescent (brand) curved shower rod from another source, but they no longer carried them when I needed another one. I ordered this one as it is indicated as a "Crescent" shower rod. What was sent was an unbranded, curved shower rod, and of what appears to be of comparable quality, but it is not the same (mounting brackets are different). I did not want to go through the hassle of returning it and trying to find another source, so I have kept it. Just be aware that this is not the Crescent brand shower rod.

mounts and works well and looks nice, but it had a small dent in it that I didn't see until I ran my hand over it, so check it well when it shows up. It wasn't worth the hassle so I just flipped the rod and put the dent to the back top where no one will see it.

feels roomier, less claustrophobic.
Don't forget: a shower curtain only works if it's INSIDE the tub's sidewall; that's easy to forget when it's hanging several inches outside it. I did make that mistake - once. I discovered this style rod at a motel some years ago, and bought one before we retired in anticipation of remodeling a new bathroom. The extra elbow room is really appreciated, and I'm small; it must make a big difference to a big guy.

Pretty good
The shower rod made it in one piece despite awful packaging. My only compliant is the mountings are plastic and somewhat flimsy. Having said that, they still look like chrome once installed - no issues with the look of it. I was lucky enough to hit a stud so the rod installed firmly. In plain old sheetrock, installation might be an issue.

Provides more room if cannot remodel
Have had this product 4 years now and it has held up well, no blemishes on the chrome. Fairly easy to install; took less than an hour. Provides plenty of shoulder room in the older narrower style tub showers.

Disappointing; not sturdy like the original. Plastic mounting brackets? C'mon.
I have an original Crescent Rod I bought at B,B & Beyond a few years back, which is sturdy and works great. This one, even though it came in a Moen package, is very light weight and has very lightweight, plastic mounting brackets, not the heavier-duty metal ones I got with my old one. I can't see this thing supporting a curtain and liner without problems, so I'm sending it back. Just too flimsy to have any confidence in.
