Didn't realize these are shipped directly from China to the customer. They don't have a North American distribution center, so they took 23 days from order date to delivery (!) From the Amazon photos they appeared to be flexible at the rings, but they are rigid. The clanking and a slight metallic taste could take a while to get used to. It doesn't state what grade of stainless steel these are made of; would be nice to know that. The jury is still out as to whether these will actually be better in the long run than plastic.

I like the idea of reusable straws, especially icy-cold, easy-to-clean and very durable stainless steel reusable straws (thank you other reviewers for planting these ideas in my head,) but even with my options nicely narrowed down, I still looked at about 10-15 different product pages before ordering this "4 reusable stainless steel drinking straws kit." Eventually, I couldn't handle anymore excitement, and made my final decision based purely on aesthetic grounds; all the straws I considered looked just as capable of delivering liquids to my mouth, but I really liked this particular brand's unmarked, slight bend right near the tip. Imagine my chagrin when the product I received in the mail looked totally different! So much for aesthetics... I'm going to do something thats very rare for me, and return my order. SMH

I have three sets of these and use them for ice tea, water, smoothies, and mochas. No more buying plastic straws my husband calls 'sprigs of styrene'. Guests love them and hint they'd like to take one home. So after telling them no, they get a package as a gift!Added note: The edges of this brand are smooth and the bend is just right.

It saves on plastic straws which was the main reason for purchasing it. Good for the environment. It will quickly reflect the temperature of the beverage. That is, it will quickly become very cold for ice cold smoothies. Also, I was hoping for a larger opening since my primary use is for shakes and smoothies.

Loved the idea of non-disposable straws since my family goes thru so many (sorry Mother Nature). These will take some getting used to --they clank against your teeth. And obviously aren't squishable or flexible. Despite that they do work well and it's nice to know they will last a long time.

No more plastics. That's my goal. The stainless straws in combination with the Ecojarz lids and glass jars are a great money saver; no waste, better for the earth, and so much healthier for you. The straws are easy to clean. We just invested in some smoothie straws too. Love this product!

I chose this package of stainless straws as much for the advertised cleaning brushes as for the straws themselves. The 2 advertised cleaners turned out to be A) a pipe cleaner, available in packets of 100 at any googly-eye craft store and B) one cleaning brush on a twisted wire handle. The length of the cleaner was barely half the length of the straw, meaning to clean a straw, you'd have to insert the cleaner from both ends, wiggle a lot and hope for the best. Additionally, the diameter of the bristles was smaller than the diameter of the straw. I have no confidence that those bristles make much contact with the interior of these narrow straws. The brush is entirely useless for larger-diameter straws of the sort that come with your insulated cold tumblers.

LOVE THESE. You can point the end at a light source and see how clean they are on the inside… they're easy to keep clean as long as you wash when you're done so don't complain about thinking grime will build up on the inside. These straws impress everyone
