CBAP Exam Success Series: Mindmaps Placemat (for Version 2.0 BABOK Guide) Misc. Supplies – June 2, 2009

This has been a great reference as I have reviewed each chapter of the BABOK. As I prepare to take the exam, this has been an easy way to get a lot of information in a small amount of space. I like the graphical representation of the material. I would recommend this to anyone that has an interest in teh business analysis profession.

its a really good mindmap but it could have been more helpful if the numbering was used according to BABOK version2like elicitation knowledge area number is 3 and tasks under this area is 3.1(Prepare for elicitation) 3.2(conduct elicitation) and so on... but no numbering is used which is very important.Another shortcoming is that some tasks are combined which is a big mistake coz we are following the BABOK2 and it must be corrected, like in BABOK2 eliecitation KA task: " prepare for elicitation" has four inputs while in this mindmap they put 3 only and combined 2 inputs like " solution scope and business case, this is not good. its confusing and disturb you while memorizing. i Guess the person who prepared it has no idea of preparing BABOK, but still a good try.overall its a good thing but if they make adjustments and only follow the BABOK version 2 strictly its the best, this is the suggestion for the maker if he can rectify these things.

I thought this placemat was quite useful. It would have taken me some work to come up with this on my own, so this was a nice addition to my prep materials. Due to the number of inputs, techniques and outputs, I found this to be a good quick reference, both to supplement my studying, and for memorization.

It is exactly what the little says: Mindmaps PLACEMAT. Very helpful to say the least. However, to me, instead of one big "Placemat" that feats nowhere and folds ideally nowhere, I would prefer it in a "Z" fold-able form where each page has one knowledge area.I recommend it!

It would be better if the information displaied in on side than 2sids .. so we will cupture the big picture

I recommend this as a study aid for the CBAP Exam to help remember and visualize KA's, tasks, inputs, outputs, tool (techniques) and their relationships. It has been a worthwhile purchase, I am using as an adjunct to my study. Obviously you have to study and know the material in the BABOK .

Really helpful study guide

Great outline for the visual learner! Anyone wanting a visual overview of key details, this is a good option. Good luck!
