Nice loud bell
Need these on my public bike trail rides since it can get pretty crowded out here with people going for walks. This one can most definitely be heard from a way's back. Just one or two "dings" and it will get attention. My advice is to use it early on long before you think you need to, otherwise this might give someone a jump scare, it's fairly loud, but that's what you want honestly. I've seen people with headphones in hear this over whatever they're listening to a few times, it does the job.As far as the sound goes, I'd say it's your classic inoffensive old school ding ding bike bell sound if that makes sense. Nothing out of the ordinary really. You can install this forwards or back, depending on if you'd rather your thumb or index finger do the work. On my ebike this is handy (sorry) because my thumb is for the throttle, so my finger is more free when I need the bell, which is often.Manufactory is solid, seems like it will last. I'd buy it again if I need another for sure.

An affordable and nice bell made in Japan
There are some imitations over there for this product. Make sure to buy this bell directly from the seller Amazon.Personally, I didn't want to install any bell in my bicycle because most of them look ugly in the bicycle. I have a mountainlike and every once in a while, I ride my bike in the city. Per State regulations, I have to use a bell to ride my bike in the sidewalks. The bell is easy to install. You might want to add a little bit of electrical tape inside the plastic ring to get extra grip. The ""ding-ding" sound is pretty cool. I bought two and installed them downwards the right side of the handlebar of a mountain bike and a hybrid bike. The size is right for the handlebar. The bell says "made in Japan". It looks well made for the price, and it looks fine mounted downwards on the handlebar. If you are looking for an affordable and affective bell that looks fine on your bike, this bell might be good for you. If you are looking for a high-end bell, you might want to buy a more expensive one. There are several options for other bells that cost more than $30

Good bell with a loud and clear sound. Size measurements included in this review.
Spring has arrived and the trails are getting busy. The traditional approach of yelling "passing on your left (or right)" only works when you're already too close to people, and tends to scare animals. After many years riding without a bell, I finally gave up and decided to get one. I've read a lot of reviews and decided on the Mirrycle brand. My basic requirements were: 1) Not too big, 2) Discreet (black), 3) Loud, 4) If possible, good sound.I investigated a few options and discarded them for different reasons:- Mirrycle Bellini: Complaints that sound is too high pitched and not loud enough.- Mirrycle Adjustabell (original): Reports of poor sound quality and poor overall build quality.- Mirrycle Adjustabell 2: Good for people with thick handlebars, but mounts appear not to be reusable and not hold bell tightly.- Mirrycle Ominbell: Good reviews, but I'd prefer a black bell.- Mirrycle Incredibell Mini Bell: Good size, but doesn't sound so good.- Mirrycle Incredibell Brass Solo: Good size (small) and good sound, but no black color (at least on Amazon). In the end, I decided on the "Incredibell Brass Duet" (this product), black. Some comments:- Seems well built. The handlebar mount secures the bell firmly in place.- The bell sounds really loud, which is good. It also sounds nice and the sound has a lingering quality to it. You can ring it way before you get close to people and give them plenty of time to see you coming.- A sideways flick of the activation lever gives you two "dings". Some people prefer a single ding and a "hammer style" strike.- This bell was designed to be installed on the left side of your handlebar. You can probably install it on the right side, but it will have to be installed upside down. Some bells are adjustable to be used on either side. This is not the case for this bell.- There's a lot of conflicting information on the maximum handlebar thickness supported by Myrricle bells. My handlebar is very thick in the center, but gets thinner near the bar ends. I've installed this on a 22mm thick (outside diameter) area of the handlebar. I'd say it could be installed on something up to 25mm, but I haven't tried it.- The bell is 33mm wide, and 41mm at the base (bell + plastic base). I don't think anything smaller is going to sound so good and loud as this.- Counting the lever, you need 55m of total horizontal clearance on your handlebar (measured from the tip of the activation lever on the left side to the end of the case on the right side).- The bell sits a bit too high for my taste. The top of the bell is 44mm from your handlebar. I wish it sat closer to the bar.- I've seen different sellers selling the same product with a huge price variation. The cheaper ones seem to come from China. I don't know if those are counterfeit or not, so I bought from a seller with Amazon Fulfillment (Prime).I also included some pictures of the bell mounted on my mountain bike. Sometimes a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. Conclusion: A nice bell with good sound. If you prefer a "single strike" bell, get the Mirrycle Incredibell Brass Solo Bicycle Bell instead.

Good Looking Bike Bell & Works Great
My Brass Duet Bell arrived today, a full week before the scheduled delivery window. It is actually smaller than I expected, which I like, but has a clear and loud (enough) double ring. As other reviewers have mentioned, it was an easy install on the right side, upside down, to achieve a right handed ring lever, and to somewhat make the bell less noticeable. This item is listed on Amazon at some ridiculously low prices, and after reading the many reviews of receiving low quality "made in China" knock-offs and long delivery times, I decided to pay more ($9.99) from a seller with a 99% positive ratings in last twelve months and over 30,000 total reviews. Don't need the aggravation and disappointment of receiving inferior copy cat product. Time will tell regarding durability and longevity, but for now, would highly recommend this item.

Excellent bell
This brass bell has a very loud, attention-getting, 2-tone sound. It more than met my expectations. The one I received was made in Japan.

Different bells listed under same name with variable quality
The media could not be loaded. I first ordered this in March 2018 for mountain biking and loved it. It was the clear, high-pitched, loud bell that promoted harmony between hikers/walkers and cyclists. Pleased with it, I ordered another one in May 2018. It looks different (squatter, more plastic) and the sound is softer and far less pleasing to the ears. We put this on my wife's bike and the performance on trails is pitiful compared to the original. See attached video; first bell you hear is the good one.

Got the black one. I dont think it's genuine mirrycle. Definitely fake.
I own the brass one and really liked it. Saw the black one was on sale for $5.xx. Got a couple. I dont think it's mirrycle branded like what it says here. The bell is OK... but if I knew it wasnt a mirrycle, I wouldnt have bought it.[Edited]Finally got to use it. It's not as good as the genuine article. If I had known, I wouldnt have bought this. Get the real thing. Even if it is more $$$.[Edit]The more I use it, the more I hate this fake one (black). V soft compared to the genuine article.
