After releasing two country music CDs, and one duo CD with Super Chikan, Slim has been reunited with his band - the Workers. Watermelon Slim keepson delivering
What makes this album great is the way he writes about common things in uncommon ways. The title song tells of his encounter with a rooster and how well the bird runs his yard. Northwest Passage contrasts the differences between 17th century explores and modern man, but also the similarities. And one of the best covers of Woody's Vigilante Man. A little folk, a lotta blues but all Watermelon.

Not a classic, but very good. The band sounds good, the vocal by Watermelon Slim also. The artist also sounds good live.

Watermelon Slim really delivers the Goods!
The reunion of Watermelon Slim and the Workers was long overdue, but well worth the wait. Slim and the band deliver powerful performances of songs. Watermelon Slim had a real political message he wanted to send with this album and he does it beautifully!

Would have liked a fresher take of the blues.
Some songs were too country instead of blues. Blues songs sounded like previous recordings. Would have liked more fresh material
